Just had a new hard drive fitted and had to have Windows XP reloaded.......I've sorted just about everything to as it was but I have one really annoying problem, when I am scrolling up or down it scrolls in waves instead of a smooth motion....is there a setting I need to change and if so can anyone help?

Sounds like your graphics card drivers need to be updated. Have you run Windows Update on it yet?

Thanks for your help,

No I haven't as yet....from where do I locate them?

Go to the website of the graphics card manufacturer and download and install the most recent drivers for your card.

Alternatively, in the first instance, run Windows Update from the start menu and that may take care of it for you.

In order to update the drivers can I obtain the name/type of Graphics card and sound card manufacturers from my computer screen?

Possibly. Try going to Control Panel > System > Device Manager.

If it's not there, have you got any of the bumf that came with them/the computer? Failing that, open the case and read if off the hardware itself.
