Electrical Engineers - HELP ME!

Ok so i'm in bed with gastric flu, try to turn on my 26" screen with my remote to watch whatever is on cos it's impossible to sleep and bam straight off and now no standby light. I should add this also doubles as the monitor for my rig and as an 'uber' nerd the loss is quite annoying. I tried the plug, that isn't it, so I took the basterd apart and replaced the internal fuse. When I switched it on first time there was slight movement in the new fuse however that is now not happening. So...... What is the most likely reason for the problem without me painstakingly testing every single electrical component? I'm guessing capacitors would be pretty obvious to see and resistors are quite unlikely to have blown, any ideas?

Bring the electrical knowledge.......
