Anyone know of a free word to pdf converter to download or have the software I could use ta.

I have used tihs a few times, online as well, you just get an email to download, but no need to download any software.
I assumed you did not really want to do that.

If you use the (free) office suite OpenOffice it can export Word documents as PDFs.

There's a separate but near-identical version called LibreOffice available as well. Very good replacements for Microsoft Office if you don't want to spend any money.

Cheers guy's but I think I've managed it via help from Ritchie Atwood. Done it through microsoft word itself. Well i've emailed myself with a pdf and it came through at any rate!!

Use CutePDF - print from Word and use Cute as the printer output.

Was going to say, Word 07 and 10 allow you to save as a pdf.
