We have heard all about giving youth a chance but that seems to just be directed at Mellor and Winchester, both have had their chance and let it slip through their fingers. Bove must be full of confidence and didint LJ make a point of saying he would use the youth team players but that seems to have gone down the toilet. Give him and Turner a chance, lets see some pace up front on Tuesday night. He was sent off within 2 mins after running around like a headless chicken. That validates his non selection to me. Pritchard has been played and Clarke was on the bench for the Tranmere game last week. We've had several youth teamers in the first team squad. What's the next pop at the manager going to be? yarddog73 Posted March 10, 2014 Share Posted March 10, 2014 IMO Bove is miles away from the first team needs at least another season in the reserves wouldnt be able to stand up to the physical nature of league 1 football, centre halfs woul;d have him in there pocket. Watched him in the reserves against experianced lumps and he comes off second best, keep him to the youth team and step him up next season. Compare that to the first 3 minutes I saw Turner play on Saturday, he came on and immediately won the first 3 headers against a half decent centre back of Tom Clarke, Turner not being tall himself but timed his jump to perfection.
