Its clearly someone with no aspirations of ever leaving their beloved town.IIRC there wasn't any issue with it from any of our fans (apart from the fact it is a bit naff and excludes a decent percentage of our fans). The issue came from Martin Allen who called it racist, as the race related riots of 2001 were still pretty fresh in people's minds and the complaint may have not been long after Panorama did their expose into the football side of those riots. The same Martin Allen was since accused of racially abusing a bouncer at a nightclub near Cheltenham when he was manager there. It was found that there was no criminal case to answer for but Cheltenham suspended him whilst it was being investigated then mutually terminated his contract. Essentially the issue arose because Martin Allen gives Messers Westley, Evans and Robinson runs for their money on the level of c***ery.
