rudemedic
Amen brother! Agree 100%, it is a piss take when a player goes down like they've been shot then jumps up as soon as the ref blows. What happened to not wanting the bloke who hit you know he hurt you? Football is 90 minutes of pretending you're hurtRugby is 80 minutes of pretending you're not. Latics_Fanatic
6 Preston players. slystallone
The Daily Mail has named the 7, none at OAFC Oh dear Preston. I felt numb when the Montano saga came to light, but 6 players from the same club? Wow.
jsslatic
The most concerning thing about all of this is that somebody somewhere refers to Barnsley as being in the North West.

The 30 page thread is kind of sad to look at. One of the players was a pallbearer at Sir Tom's funeral. :/
Channel M
Could have an impact on the battle to stay up as PNE still to play Bristol City, Carlisle, Shrewsbury & Crewe.
oafc_lover
Could have an impact on the battle to stay up as PNE still to play Bristol City, Carlisle, Shrewsbury & Crewe. Not good news! Would imagine it most certainly will have an impact. Surely Preston can't actually play these players. Wouldn't be right at all.

Ackey
Innocent until proven guilty... True, but it's fairly standard in all walks of life to be put on "gardening leave" or some other synonym for "we think you did it" in situations such as this... mcgoo_84
Bad feeling given our history but Tranmere must be :censored:ting themselves. Six rearrested - was Montano et al never charged then? No. They were due back on bail on Tuesday 8th April but as the police do regularly in serious cases (whether justified or not) they will find new evidence a couple of days before that 'justifies' a re-arrest to catch them off guard & also try to make sure that they turn up! ChaddySmoker
PNE have issued a statement saying that they are disappointed that the names are in the public domain and all players are available for selection The BBC seem to be saying that the accusations include matches this season and last. I know it is very specifically spot fixing, but surely with 6 players from the same team, match fixing is but a slither away. Will be interesting if more of that later pending spot fixing being processed, or whether no case to answer re match fixing as part of this investigation.
