Latics and England
I'd just like remind people that it is the Trust AGM on Monday at half seven preceded by a public meeting at half six. A lot of questions have been raised on here recently without response. This is the opportunity to get those answers you have been looking for. Hopefully there will be a decent turnout and a productive debate. It would be a real shame if this opportunity to have your say in what the Trust does and how it is governed is missed so if you can make it, please do. disjointed
Is the public meeting in the sponsors suite? I will try to get there for 6.30. Gary Barlow concert for my wife and she wants dropping off, I'd rather drop Gary Barlow off a cliff, all about taste I suppose.

It would be a real shame if this opportunity to have your say in what the Trust does and how it is governed is missed so if you can make it, please do. I asked on here and I asked a trust board member face to face whether I could be told what opportunity I would get to have a say if I joined. I was told they wouldn't tell me. If I turn up for the meeting, why will the response be any different? You can't be told anything if you're not a member. So join, then you can be told that they probably haven't changed anything and your "say" counts for nothing. "Anyone like to buy a box for £100? There might be something good in it,but you'll have to Trust me, although I'm not prepared to trust you"

If that is what happens, I guess that is your answer in itself. Much better to go along and try than allow the argument that when you had the chance in an appropriate forum you "didn't bother". But having done this face to face with a trust board member, why should I expect monday to be different? Other than wasting my time going to/from BP after a hard days work and before a major work event the next day? Is there anyone from the Trust actually giving a guarantee that sensible questions will not be rebuffed because "we can only tell members...how much we raised/how many members/what we are changing" ? I assume you're not on the trust board, so it's just another fan doing what the trust evidently doesn't want to do - communicate.
Latics and England
I fully understand your skepticism but the only way to rebuff the argument that people are apathetic about the trust is for there to be a decent turnout on the rare occasions we can. As you say, I don't represent the Trust so I cannot guarantee what will or will not be answered but I think I can say that those wanting answers will not allow key questions to remain unanswered. There again, if you actually go, and making the effort after having doing nothing but bluster on here, then once you come back with your same tale, I'll listen to you. You've now got the chance on Monday to prove you're right.....get it done. Join up and make it the way you want it to be. Basically I don't want to appear rude, but as the saying goes, put up or shut up. That goes for all the other's who just want to spout off on here, get there and say your beef. If then you come back on here and say Lags I told you so, then I'll say fair do's guys. I aint part of the trust, don't wanna be part of those running it, it's a thankless task and OWTB's is evidence to that. Just glad some idiots do to keep it's name and 3% alive until such times we really bloody need it to rally behind. 24hoursfromtulsehill
I'd go but I have to work Monday and can't travel. I agree with Lags but I'm more charming than him. It's time to jump on board or drown in silence. There's a time for carping on t'internet and a time for a public meeting.

Nigel and all the detractors get there Monday and report back ta I've asked barry question after question, posted message after message asking anyone from the trust for answers. I spent an hoursolid (and more time before that) on facebook chat to rick, asking questions, given no answers. Rick asked me to meet him face to face. I met Rick face to face and spent an hour asking rick questions and got no answers. And you are calling me cheap. Rick told me on facebook chat that all the board members details and information is on the website. He told me the same face to face. I picked up my phone and showed him the website. With just names; no information. he shrugged. Neither he nor anyone else from the trust has done anything since to correct this. They have done nothing to engage at all. When the money was stolen Barry promised - promised (does he know what that means?) to work to re-build trust with the fans. Well,"lags" if I'm "cheap", tell me exactly what the :censored: barry has done to re-build trust? Don't you dare call me cheap. Doing so ignores all of the time I have spent trying to engage with the trust as a potential member. If I choose not to turn up it will be after making every effort and feeling like I've wasted my time and effort. Have you called the Trust cheap? For all their excuses not to engage? Not to respond? To insult people and ignore people? No. I wonder why?

Lags
Is it really ? Can you give me that single reason to go? I still can't think of one.... Well you've had plenty to say on the matter, so there's one. And Zorro, you seem to disagree with me that the proper forum to air concerns is at the AGM, care to expand? oafc0000
Well you've had plenty to say on the matter, so there's one. And I have said it.... Directly to the man in charge.... He wasn't interested.... So again... Still waiting for that single reason....
