No its a syndicate of 4 me and 3 friends from essex i used to work in a kennel and have had a couple of nice dogs, can syndicate a dog at belle vue if anyones interested.

What sort of cost are you looking at with a syndicate? I quite enjoy a little flutter and have always thought if I could afford it something like this would be fun.

Pick the one that does a poo. Never fails.

Unless another does a poo, or you don't get it laid on time. Or a dog gets into the trap late. Or someone luckier gambles on a different dog.

I think it'd be better if they put puppet jockeys on the back of them when they ran.

Reverse forecasts that add up to 7. Easy money.

ive found syndicates of 4 ideal it offers ownership but it spreads the costs, some syndicates have upto 100 members but you dont really feel involved, with 4 you all get owners passes and feel involved with the dog, ive paid upto £2000 for a dog but had as much fun with dogs around £500, initially a syndicate of 4 would need around £800 this would get you a dog its registration and transport from ireland (my preffered source) the dog would then need 3 trials before it could take part in races, monthly kennelling charges vary, the most expensive charge £8 day any prizemoney won is deducted from this, other trainers will take dogs and keep all monies won this can be good if you dont like the burden of a monthly bill, if this is the preffered option the syndicate would be advised to bank £25 each per month each in a kitty for any unforseens, like most things dog racing is and should be treated as an hobby its certainly not a way to riches the final thing I insist on is that any dogs I put my name on are found a forever home after their racing careers, kitty money is normally set aside for this and costs a couple of hundred pounds through one of the local rehoming centres, if anybody is interested pm me for any further info, im happy to reply to questions on here.

Our current pet dog is a retired greyhound from the Retired Greyhound Trust. He's a lovely, friendly pet, took some adjusting to being a pet rather than a a racer but that only took a couple of months which is a lot less than some puppies. What you get is a trained, responsive, lazy and in most cases a well maintained beast.
