Having said that I think the importance of the captain's overstated, you need more than one leader in the team and if you're that kind of character it shouldn't make a difference if you're wearing an armband or not. Tell you what, joking aside we should have a few "leaders" on the field which is something we've been lacking for years. Hopefully they're quite good at football too! Would seem from the signings so far we have a few leaders now. What you say is right and when Lockwood came into the team last season he was that extra voice.
