Always seemed a defender with an error in him but a presence and leader at the back, always chips in with plenty of goals. Don't see the need for another defender though, and I'd expect him to demand a hefty wage. That said if we can afford him I'd definitely take a player of his stature. On the topic of centre backs, Harry Maguire from Sheffield United has attracted a £3m bid from Fulham. Of course there are many different circumstances, but it makes our Tarky fee look a bit low. We've Wilson J, Lockwood and Kusunga as regular centre backs, and Mellor and Wilson B can play there if needed. Don't need a permanent signing to cover Lockwood's opening absence.
