Diego_Sideburns
Contract offer withdrawn. http://www.oldhamathletic.co.uk/news/article/20140725-miguel-llera-withdrawn-1781936.aspx
BP1960
Kasunga very much a liability in my eyes based on what I saw of him last season (Probably made 3/4 of games). But, he's well worth another go and if he is played just in front of the defence, any mistake he might be liable to make can be mopped up by the back 4. Blue_Guru
Hopefully because an opportunity for proven quality elsewhere which is to good to refuse has come about...Wellens or a proven striker alla Clarke?
blueatheart
Have we been relegated yet?
Markspark92
Not to botherd about this we've got cover at CB Wilson and Kusunga are decent players hopefully the wage wich was offerd can be used elsewhere for a decent winger
NIKI1234
That was a waste of everyones time, especially as he played in every game. Oh well, next!
Zorrro
That was a waste of everyones time, especially as he played in every game. Oh well, next! Sadly, as no one seems to have a working crystal ball, these are the chances clubs have to take.
oafc21
Hopefully use his wage to sign a decent striker, would have been a top signing for us and chipped in with more goals than anyone of our current strikers!!!
oafc1955
The player came onto the scene far too late for me...I have a feeling if he'd have been available earlier Kusunga may not have his contract right now. I can't blame Llera for holding out for the best deal as it will probably be his last in pro football but what a waste of time and money and not least disruption to our preparations. I've said before that the best contract offer we could afford should have been agreed and on the table a lot sooner.....he should not have gone on this team building exercise without an agreement in place. I hope we have a creative player lined up as it's an area where we are desperately short....I think we have enough strikers now and will have to see how we progress before the transfer window closes. If we need more experience in the side it will have to be through a loan. My biggest concern is competitive game time for the bench warmers and fringe players in the 1st team squad now that we have no reserve fixtures. PlayItLivo
Not every day you get the chance to sign a quality, goal scoring centre back. Quite disappointed tbh.

TheBigDog
It would have been nice to have been given a reason as to why it was withdrawn - most likely that Llera indicated he was not going to sign tomorrow so at least we can use the money elsewhere. Do we know he actually did go on the team building exercise? He's not on todays twitter picture. It's not too much of a concern, people are saying it's a waste in pre season etc.. He's not the only trialist we have. Onto the next one.

I just think a contract offer in principal should be agreed beforehand... What's the point in trialing a player if you can't afford to sign him? Markspark92
Can't see LJ signing another striker now that we have JCH, Philiskirk, Turner, Bove, Morgan-Smith, Gros and possibly Forte
Blue_Guru
Think we would have a decent shout if we could get within touching distance of his wages. (Which we might be miles away from) Often seen around the club and maybe LJ can give him the gift of the gab that we will make a go for it this year. Midsblue
I would love to have Wellens back in an Oldham shirt controlling our midfield. Please, please, please make it so Mr Corney and Mr Johnson
MAC0AFC
always see wellens at failsworth school watching his lad, if the offer was good enough surely he'd be tempted?
