palmer1
Mark (:censored:head) Robins gone from Huddersfield already. I know they got battered yesterday but I like to think our meaningless friendly win played a small part. Well done Hudds, glad you didnt panic or anything.... Ryan
He resigned, he wasn't sacked. Felt he couldn't bring success within the vision of the club.
Latics_Fanatic
He resigned, he wasn't sacked. Felt he couldn't bring success within the vision of the club. He must have known that 6 weeks ago. What a waste of a pre-season to now have a change in management.
Tommy_Fent
They conceeded after 25 seconds yesterday. I can't think of anything worse on the opening day of the season, especially when you go on to get spanked 4-

Like has been said why not do it weeks ago instead of waiting until they got their biggest home defeat in years?

For someone from chadderton he is easy not to like, not because he's from Chad, but at least Ex Man U Hat trick for Norwich against in the prem Some words he said when an opposition manager Annoyingly smug look He's probably an ok bloke, but........ Guest Scratch2000uk
Bournemouth are a decent side though. It wouldn't suprise me if they get in the top four.
jsslatic
When Dickov's backroom staff were sacked and he was a one man band, Robins gave him the dossiers Coventry had prepared on the other sides in the division.

underdog
Heheh, hahaha, hohoho....couldn't happen to a nicer bloke, Didn't he say early last season pre him becoming Huddersfield manager that we were the worse team in the division? Super sub my arse....

ShireBlue
Sounds poor from Robins to me. However, hearing Udders fans on 606 in dispair, explaining how Oldham "tore them apart" pre-season makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Magic Mikey
He pulled them out of the :censored: last season. I don't know the details of the disputes over transfers, but the chairman is mad to let him go. I wonder if David Moyes might be set for a return. slystallone
Yep, 0 games; "mutual" leaving. 2 days before his sides 1st game. Madness. Lots gone on behind closed doors here surely, it csnt just be down to missing out on Caulker Sigordsson?
Lee Sinnott
Just when you thought that couldn't be topped; http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28797071 I'm in a minority, but I'm glad that our top flight won't be subjected to a dinosaur like Pulis with his 1960's style tactics... What are 1960's style tactics? As far as I can see there are a variety of different tactics played in every era.

Magic Mikey
That's the same as music - but you can still have an overarching wave/style... I'll rephrase then, what is the 1960's over arching style of play? I was born in the 60's but didn't see that much professional football. LaticsPete
I'll rephrase then, what is the 1960's over arching style of play? I was born in the 60's but didn't see that much professional football. When England won the World Cup in 66 the team was known as "Ramsey's Wingless Wonders" giving an indication that the game upto then had relied on wing play , and Latics were no different . Colin Whitaker, Johnny Colquhoun, Peter Phoenix, Bob Ledger, tony Bartley etc all got down the wing and put the ball over. Simple stuff with centre forwards getting on the end. But defences were much less "sophisticated" in those days, and in reality it was all a simpler game.
