This is your team LJ you signed the players for last season and for this season so don't start making excuse for your failures (poor player signings) from last season and your poor signings this season not working out,..... This is what you get paid for!! Now crack on and turn this round......or ship out!
palmer1
Is this the first Johnson out thread of the season? After 4 games!? there really are too many wankers on here
rosa
I hope he is sounding more like Dickov. Dickov had a lovely sexy accent.
chris_ktf
I'm happy with the budget- is now- if only people knew what willie Gros was on. He's already assembled a squad of 26, after saying repeatedly in the close season he wanted a smaller squad with more quality. . . Mmmm ok Lee. One minute he's more than happy with the squad, the next (usually after a loss) he wants to bring in more 'fresh faces' How about working the squad YOU'VE bought. Why are we in for paddy Kenny if we are so skint? I doubt elokobi is on :censored: money. For me he has totally mis managed his budget. The squad hasn't got a good balance. At all. We won't go into his utter refusal to play Winchester in the middle, his snide remarks at fans. His fascination with 4141 4231 352 450 or any other 'modern' formation. Or, an this is my personal favourite- signing players an then playing them out of position- then blaming cos they don't affect the game. Genius. Having said all that we did play well for twenty minutes in the second half on Saturday. So every cloud.

pukka
Is this the first Johnson out thread of the season? After 4 games!? If we have not won by 8th september (looking at the fixtures, that is very possible) I dread to think what this board will be like
WIZZO83
No this is a stop making stupid comments about 1, your rebuilding plan, 2, you need new faces 3, we have been unlucky etc Let your football do the talking, I sat in a room with LJ when he first arrived at the club, he was asked a simple question, Are you happy with the budget? he said yes.... End of Story!!!! He talks an unbelievable game....now its time to back it up

I don't. However he is offering a lot more excuses. He's quicker to blame anyone/anything other than himself. The results however early in the season aren't great. Harry is probably right though. Things wouldn't be as bad if he just kept his counsel. (a lot more)

End of Story!!!! He talks an unbelievable game....now its time to back it up Let the football do the talking = judge us after ten games. Cue stick for saying that. End of the day it makes no odds what the manager says to the press - if we don't win games then he'll get stick for what he says even if he's correct, if we do win games then he'll get praise for what he says even if it's bollocks. Lee Sinnott
The turnover in personnel wouldn't be as high during his reign if he hadn't signed so much :censored:...
oafc1955
It wouldn't be so bad but he said that in future all his incoming players would be meticulously checked out in every detail before signing. He also said that last season his squad was too big and that he was going for quality rather than quantity this season, yet, as I think someone has said earlier, we already up to 26 and he's saying he would like a couple more. I am willing to give him the rest of this season and until January of 2016 to get it right but if this trend continues the knives will be out long before that! BP1960
A thumping win on Saturday and LJ will be the best thing sliced bread on here.
palmer1
We had our best season in 3 last season. Only a slight improvement but none the less an imorovement. Now granted this seasons start has been poor and I'm not one to disect things said in the press as it essentially means :censored: all. Talking should be done on the pitch IMO. 4 games in......1 striker in and a few wins and many will be singing a different tune

We've been piss poor for the majority of his stint. Dickov got longer than he should've and I'm by no means calling for Johnson's head but, after a season and a half, (which is about what it'll be come 8th September) it's fair enough to question whether he's up to it. A long way to go and I hope he gets it right but I'm far from convinced he will at the moment.
Latics_Fanatic
We could have Jose Mourinho and he'd struggle on our budget. Lack of investment is killing us, no matter who the manager is, without the money we won't progress.

Lack of investment is killing us, no matter who the manager is, without the money we won't progress. We don't know what our budget is and how it compares to other teams' in league 1. Irrespective of the budget though, the signings he's made and the tactics he's employed haven't filled many with optimism. Really early days and we might go on to have a half season. I reckon we'll improve as there has got to be more to come from the squad he's put together but it's all 'his team' so no excuses.

Lack of investment is killing us, no matter who the manager is, without the money we won't progress. ^ This, in every single way for me. We're constantly chopping and changing players. There isn't a team in the four professional divisions that finds success by doing that. I felt pretty good at the end of last season that we'd found that 'hard to beat' formula and, with just a couple of good additions in the right areas we'd at last start seeing a settled team. Yet we've seen the same revolving door and a new ten players coming in.
