opinions4u
iPlayer's FLS coverage has the goals just after the 55 minute mark. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04grpv0/the-football-league-show-20142015-30082014 From that angle Dickov may have a point about the penalty. I didn't realise it was JCH who supplied the pass for that in addition to his close range finish. jsslatic
That angle is crap though. It was definitely a penalty.
Magic Mikey
Thanks for posting the link. Hard to see from that angle, the ball didn't move to the side much at all, maybe he played it as well as Philly or through the player first. Let's hope we get a season of penalty decisions going our way.

bpmarko
That angle is crap though. It was definitely a penalty. Look at how many Doncaster players objected. Either they are extremely well behaved, or they didn't disagree with the ref!!

Our players were more argumentative after it was awarded. What on earth was that about? Surely a penalty taker is agreed before the game. Surely a penalty taker is agreed before the game. It's traditional against Doncaster. Like Brentford did to throw away promotion the season before last. daniel
Did anyone think we had a case for another penalty, ball over the top for jch who got in front of the defender, looked through on goal and was brought down, he went down easy granted but it looked more of a penalty than the 1st one for me. Possibly. But he'd already had two easy falls not get a free kick. The ref was on to him. He should have taken another stride because that would have drawn further contact from the defender for a dead cert pen. I didn't think Rachubka fouled Tyson in the first half, but wtf was he rushing out for? Terrible judgement.
Diego_Sideburns
Alan Howarth's picture shows how the shirt-pulling compounded the offence on Philliskirk. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BwW9HAbIMAAgum5.jpg:large

slystallone
A chance to see Forte's rather disappointing finish: All left foot isnt he? Coming in from the other side and that wouldnt have been in doubt; but as soon as he's gone on to his right foot; no chance. The penalty looks a correct decision to me from those highlights; though i didnt see it live...
Ryan
The foul reminded me of Grounds on Hughes last season, whilst I feel they're soft, they're given 9 times out of 10. There's a cracking picture which Alan Howarth took showing shirt pulling, too.
Stevie_J
Looking at that, I say that's never a penalty but the picture above shows the shirt pull and you can't really argue with that, even if it does go unpunished all the time. nzlatic
I had a pretty good view of it and it was a definite pen for me. It was clumsy more than a clear cut foul but definitely took him out and wasn't near the ball. Despite the video suggesting otherwise!
