Ejected for taking pictures of Forte's pen last Saturday. NOTE: The rarely-wrong Chron has aged the fan by 8 years during the story.

The comments include one from an eye witness, which throws a different light on the story.

The Chron has never been one to let the truth get in the way of a good story.

Ye gods....if correct he was in the chaddy taking a photo of the penalty in the RRE? What a zoom he must have had and slow shutter speed too for that penalty

Come on now...who on here has taken a couple of sneaky ones....I have last lot was the Everton FA cup game at home.

And with mobiles these days, how can you police taking photos?

Yikes...

The rule is in place to prevent people selling unauthorised photo's that rights have been sold for - yet another example of a rule that's there for extreme circumstances being enforced to the letter by the club.

"Club officials say their hands are tied by Football League rules, and they could be fined if they allow pictures to be taken."

This line has Barry Blatter's stamp all over it.

I reckon he's mortified whenever these fines don't actually materialise, (i.e. never)

So how come when people upload actually filmed minutes of the game on that you tube thingy and facebook etc that the club are not getting fined?

Hmm....there's a job there for someone....heheh...oohphs

I'm picturing Barry putting in a Phoenix Nights style anonymous phone call in to the Football League's copyright department now

"What's your name please sir?"

"Err, Mixu Paatelainen"

From the Club's OS:

Ground Regulations

16: Mobile telephones and other mobile devices are permitted within the Ground PROVIDED THAT (i) they are used for personal and private use only (which, for the avoidance of doubt and by way of example only, shall not include the capturing, logging, recording, transmitting, playing, issuing, showing, or any other communication of any Material for any commercial purposes); and (2) no Material that is captured by a mobile telephone or other mobile device may be published or otherwise made available to any third parties including, without limitation, via social networking sites.
19: Save as set out in paragraph 16 above, no person (other than a person who holds an appropriate licence) may capture, log, record, transmit, play, issue, show or otherwise communicate (by digital or other means) any Material in relation to the Match, any players or other persons present in the Ground and/or the Ground, nor may they bring into the Ground or use within the Ground (or provide to, facilitate or otherwise assist another person to use within the Ground) any equipment or technology which is capable of capturing, logging, recording, transmitting, playing, issuing, showing or otherwise communicating (by digital or other means) any such Material. Copyright, database rights and any other intellectual property rights in any unauthorised recording or transmission is assigned (by way of present assignment of future rights) to the Club and The Football League. You further agree (if and whenever required to do so by the Club and/or The Football League) to promptly execute all instruments and do all things necessary to vest the right, title and interest in such rights to the Club and The Football League absolutely and with full title guarantee.

And yet the old bill can can shove a video camera in your face all the game and because we are football supporters!!Human rights an all that :censored: go out window!!

Section 27. Human rights don't exist, there are only privileges that can be taken away when the Police see fit.

Rule 24 is quite interesting it basically covers the fans image rights and ends with,

Entry into the ground is confirmation that all persons have consented to such use of their image. If these images should feature an individual prominently the Club will make reasonable efforts to gain the consent of that person before publishing such images, however, if this is not possible, then entry into the ground shall be deemed consent unless the club is notified in writing to the contrary.

Effectively the club would be :censored:ed if they wanted to take film or photo of any individual who has removed consent, 200 or 300 letters removing this right would throw a spanner in the works and make it very difficult for the club to post any official images.

If it is the camera he's pictured with on the front of the chroniclies, it's looks to be a professional camera, rule are rules however frustrating they may be

Only read it online stewards where there within seconds but oe thing i noticed in Brazil at the World Cup and in Ukraine (mainly as i was sat in the neutral section) was the number of people taking professional cameras in and camcorders. Remember seeing some idiot on TV at the FA cup final using his IPAD.

Have you read the Human Rights Act?

I've read about half of it, but I get the general gist. Don't tell me. Does it turn into a Lee Child novel?

Seriously though, I've never had to use it, although if I did I'd probably give it a more thorough read. For what it's worth.

I assume you are familiar with section 27 where the Police can remove and hold someone for 48 hours without any offence being committed? No evidence needed, just on a 'feeling'. Where are the rights, or priveliges, of honest football fans being caught up in this nonsense are taken away.

The reason for this legislation? Football hooligans. The simpletons who think its fun to smack other simpletons in the head at the expense of the game.
