Carl Winchester

Recommended Posts

RE Winch. Expect a news article at the end of May saying we've offered him a contract (on cock all), then for him to sign for Preston 10 days later, a la Tarky and M'Voto (I think)

He's got a lot to do before he earns a move to Preston. He's not 18 anymore.

Get this lad an extension on his contract!! Throw in a First Weekly Bus pass or something!!! He is having a stormer of a season and 21 too. Our next big sell able asset? If you look at his key attributes, he has an eye for goal, an eye for a pass, skill full on the ball and can quickly drive the ball forward when the teams on the back foot. Well done Carl! Lets keep the form going till May, give us a few more goals too!!!

Does anyone else think that the Carl Winchester situation is very much like Dale Stephens (albeit we bought Dale from Bury and Carl is one of own)

But in any case Dale and Carl were both very much hit and miss both going out on loan to lower league clubs and not pulling up trees whilst there. Then all of sudden in one season the potential seems to come to fruition.

Most fans could and can see the potential in both players and thought if they get some consistently into their game we could all see them playing at a higher level.

Which Dale has done, let’s not make the same mistake with Carl let’s get him signed up long term.

Ironically that they both started to perform consistently well and play their best football for the club whilst in the last year of their contract.

our of interest what has happened to Stephens, has he been injured? i don't think he's played a game all season for Brighton.
