whittles left foot
Well the day was looking OK, as usual logged onto BBC Sport website to have a look at all the latest sport news and then the day has just been ruined. They are showing 50 iconic FA Cup goals and guess which one is on today-Mark Hughes volley. Still rips the guts out of me-what a looong journey back up the M1 that was. leeslover
I always get ready to switch over on semi-final day when they start to play the goals montage. I really have no desire ever to see that again.
oafc-latics
I'd never seen that goal properly - only heard about it. Wasn't even alive then, but its horrible seeing Fergie's face on that video

TheBigDog
It will be forever known as 'that goal' - similar to the way we refer to the 'Scottish play' when discussing Shakespeare. I have no intention of viewing the footage this century.

whittles left foot
Thanks rudemedic, that's cheered me up a bit. Reminds me of the picture they (used) to have in the mainstand lounge of the goal that never was against them in 1974 I think? We still won that. Cheers.
