who ever thought that the majority of CCFC fans would ever in their lifetime predict Oldham Athletic to smash us

Obviously got a huge reality check last night!

In fairness they're just outside the bottom four and losing week in week out. But for their start they'd be rooted to the bottom. It's like the opposite of our season thus far.

If we were right at the bottom and got stuffed 4-1 at Chesterfield last Saturday, what do you think the reaction would be on here?

Was I alone in being a little saddened at the way we were celebrating a glorious draw away to Chesterfield these last few days?

History means nothing in this league, you have to judge results on the form of teams when we play them and it was a good draw on Sat.

Maybe not but Icertainly think it was a very good point away from home. It all helps us ticking the points over, draw your away games and win your home games and you won't be far wrong. Very good point and very good display, however it's only a great point when you capitalise it with a win like we did last night against Coventry

I'm jealous of Chesterfield's ground and home attendances. Football is constantly changing, not long ago that Swansea were a middling 4th Division club, since then they have completely surpassed us and provided the manager for the 5 time European cup winners.

Funny old game Saint.

Would you actually say it about any Football League team?

The reason we all hate United fans is because of their arrogance!

No, I personally wouldn't. But I can see the terribly made point they're making.

As a Latics fan you look at their forum and it looks like an overreaction to a defeat against what is in fact a good Latics team. And it looks like a slight.

The reality for Coventry fans is that their club has been in a horrible decline for a number of years. Their owners are a complete and utter shambles and the club was taken away from them for over a year. Just as it looked like things were on the way up a rugby team from another city buy the ground they've wanted to own for so long and effectively consigned them to a future of insecurity.

And then on the pitch they're dreadful too. Since going back to the Ricoh they've been utterly woeful and are getting turned over every week and facing relegation to the fourth division. It probably feels like a new nadir each week.

Their club is an absolute mess on and off the pitch and they're unhappy about it. I can see how this would have been unforeseeable to many of them when they were flying high not so long ago.

The Swansea example just shows you what's possible.

still not a patch on the Valentines Day Massacre of 1925 when we turned them over 5-0 at a rocking Boundary Park. I'm sure we all remember that one. Such a trouncing that they named the one in Chicago, four years later, after it

What Coventry City need is Jimmy Hill

How is that deluded? They thought they would get hammered and they did. Surely deluded is believing they are a much better side than they are?

I have absolutely no knowledge - and am fairly comfortable in that ignorance - of the transfer in and outs of Coventry this last summer. Have they lost most of last season's team or is it the same one underperforming? Expected them to be doing much better than this - although early days obviously
