FA Cup 1st Rd

Recommended Posts

It is a refreshing change that the FA Cup draw has been overshadowed by our fantastic league performances at the moment. Usually by this point it has become the only thing to look forward to.

There's some potentially great ties to be had though. For me, I want a new ground to visit and would quite like one of these:

A nice little trip to

Warrington Town

AFC Fylde

Altrincham

Chester

or a proper day out at

Concord Rangers

Worcester City

Canvey Island or Havant & Waterlooville

Gosport Borough

I fully expect Colchester away though

Non league so we can play a 2nd 11 and progress via another easy draw to the 3rd round in January with Arsenal away (would prefer Chelsea but the Gunners pay more). More room to keep and sign players to help with the push for a playoff place. The jpt final at Wembley is not early enough! To be carried away..............

Both Concord is located in Canvey both in Essex.

Errr, that's what I said!

I did particularly enjoy our extremely bullish manager having a full blown head ion head episode with the Canvey manager last season. The Canvey man was a little ambitious give that he makes Lee Johnson look like a giant.

Anyone at home. I've not seen us since Gillingham and I'm in Oldham that weekend.

In the last couple of runs we've beaten Wolves and Doncaster in the early rounds who went on to promotion, so even though a game against a L1 team would be annoying, we know we can win it.
