oafcmetty
Guessing we're not doing one? http://www.barnsleyfc.co.uk//news/article/barnsley-fc-201415-half-season-passes-now-on-sale-2101688.aspx? We've played 9 of our 23 home games. Now would be a good time to start advertising if we were.
jsslatic
Go on, Latics. Tempt me... Real push now, do half the rate of the early bird ST price and I reckon they'd sell a fair few. Xmas presents and that.
OAFCM35
We should be doing these every season surely it wouldnt hinder anyone and it's more coffers going in the clubs pot, maybe stamp the book at the back so if we got a luxury cup tie that people bought a full season ticket could be identified and get their tickets before those who have only just bought a half season ticket? Whitts
I note Barnsley are advertising this type of offer at the moment. Come on Latics, wake up and smell the coffee. What can you lose?
slystallone
We should have been doing these types of half ST offers for years. But we dont. And on previous form, we wont this time either. Sure we could shift a decent amount if we did do, as someone said, Christmas presents for current pay-on-the-dayers and all that. Temp some of ad-hoc game attenders into more of a commitment? Sure there will be reasons from tbe club's POV as to why they dont do this; otherwise; surely they'd be doing it now? HarryBosch
If we did this every season the club would run the risk of too many full season ticket holders not renewing to wait and see how we do. That said, there would be no downside to doing it as a one off and this is the season to do it. Add a premium of a fiver or a tenner so as not to piss off us REAL season ticket holders. Fyldelatic
In the past, you could always get season ticket after the season has started by paying pro rata for the remaining home games. Worth asking the ticket office about it.
Tommy_Fent
I may be wrong but I'm sure the club do sell half season tickets. It's just that they don't advertise it.

I'd imagine though it's just pro rata of the non early bird deal, which isn't very good.
Chaddy_Ender
£16 x remaining home games would be fair, a lots been said about them not offering as people may wait in the future but we need to think about now our form could tail away just as easily as it has improved get the money in the bank while you can I'd say. mikeroyboy
Discounted ST's are primarily for those who pitch up before the summer. There is a reduced discount for those who buy a full ST before the season starts. As I understand it you can buy an ST at any time during the season at favourable rates opposed to paying for every game. Has anyone been down and asked for one? We have been playing entertaining football at home all season. We are in genuine contention for a top 6 spot and we have yet to play every one of the top clubs at home in the New Year. I don't think the club should need to offer any 'special' discount for the coming half-season for those who now want to climb aboard with a half-a-season commitment. The club will no doubt be expecting a real fan to be paying full wack anyway for what is beginning to look like a very exciting run-in. There were quite a few on here pre-season not happy with the increase in prices and the prospects of the club and were holding back. I know some people can't afford every match or an ST but most of 'them' will still have the same problem. The fact is a pre-summer ST gives you 7 FREE games, this easily covers any interest on borrowing £300 from a reputable source. The main reason for not buying an ST IMO is not wanting to take a financial risk on a crap under performing season.
Fyldelatic
Yes, several years ago I bought a partial season ticket half-way through the season for a family member. The ticket office just worked out the cost of remaining home games and charged me, first by dividing the full price by 23 to get per match price. So if there are 14 games remaining and full price in Main Stand Upper and Chaddy End is £350, you pay 350 / 23 x 14 = £213.
opinions4u
My first ever Latics season ticket was bought in December. I can recall them bring advertised for sale since as well. A price of 11/23rds for 12 remaining home games starting on the Boxing Day rings a bell.
Fyldelatic
I suppose they advertise it in the run-up to Christmas as a suitable gift? But season tickets (which we never sell out) are always available at pro-rata price.
Clifford
I'd say wait until the Donny game. Might be worth it if we get a decent 3rd round game. If we go out of the cup I wouldn't bother getting one. We'll be mid table by March so you'll be glad you don't feel obliged to go to BP every game.
