Most valuable player?

Recommended Posts

Chesterfield didn't. We should calm down about this lad.

They're in huge debt and lost over £1m in their promotion season - they're in no position to go spending after the summer. He's younger than Philly and a better player. I think the hype is valid.

Our most valuable player is either Kelly or Wilson up to this point in the season.

How the hell is that calculated??

Just a few of the most ridiculous..

David Noble £308k my arse?!

Danny Johnson £88k

Danny Philliskirk £44k

Dieng £176k

Forte £124k

Isn't Noble still technically our player?

If Dayton is worth more than Forte the world has gone mad.

Such are the ways that values are attached to players, both are probably valued at similar levels (ie not much). Even with the superb impact Forte had made here, the state of his knees and the fact that he's closer to 30 than 20 probably means that clubs wouldn't be willing to pay a fee for him.

Who is our MVP?

According to this website Liam Kelly, don't show it to SC though.

Lets just get this right, that website is based on utter bollocks. Adam Lockwood is not worth 220k, neither is Neil Etheridge on his short term deal.

However, Liam Kelly is definitely our most valuable player in terms of biggest player we would miss. I think Tuesday night showed this, with how poor the team were without him in it first half.

Sale Value, probably James Wilson/Carl Winchester would attract the biggest fees due to age & progression over the last year.

I'd say we only have two players who'd be valued 500k+....Wilson & Kelly (providing the latter stays cruciate injury free for the rest of the season)

Forte could be worth that too, and you could imagine Preston or Bristol City making a bid for him in January , to consolidate their automatic promotion push

Garner is out for 4 months and Robinson has gone back to Villa

Forte is a risk for anybody, and for that reason no one will touch him for that money.

We've been very lucky with him, and his knees, so far.
