rosa
Or more likely, he couldn't get it scanned before the game but has done since. The clinical difference between a pulled or sprained hamstring and one that is torn will be minimal if any, especially soon immediately after getting the injury. Do you mean strained hamstring? A sprain is an injury to ligaments in a joint. I'm not sure that 'hamstring sprain' is a thing.

rosa
You'd lose more marks on a medical exam for misspelling 'strain' as 'sprain' than you would for spelling 'oedema' as 'edema'.

It's good to have a second medical opinion on here.

laticsrblue
Looking at portions of cake a sliver is about 10%, not a great percentage of fitness to take into a vital match. I'm not sure of a slice of cake can be a sliver, it's too crumbly. I think of a sliver as being "waffer thin", 1% or less of a pie chart, or a mm slice of turkey. The OED describes a sliver as a small slice of something; Have a sliver on me; http://skinnyminhy.blogspot.co.uk/2010/02/flourless-chocolate-cake.html Edited December 19, 2014 by BP1960
