Crewe Match - Let's Confound the Critics!

Recommended Posts

I`ve just seen a comment on the Chron's website from some plastic Manc in Saddleworth deriding the Latics. I`m out with my sniffer dog shortly (trained to detect plastic explosives so he should find a Saddleworth Manc) to have a word with him.

On a serious note, now is the time the team really needs our support. At the risk of my third divorce, I`ve press-ganged the missus and my son-in-law (who is a Huddersfield fan!) to come with me to BP on Boxing Day. That's 2 people who don't normally go, meaning an extra £44 for the cause.

Wouldn't it be great if everyone could recruit at least one extra person to go with them to this match - sing our heads off, create a great atmosphere and stuff Crewe out of sight?

It would show our faith in SC/LJ in what they are trying to achieve - they have worked ever so hard with limited resources - come on fans - spread the word!

Boxing Day I'm bringing the wife (an occasional attendee) and my in-laws along.

3+ on a normal league game. £66 and three additional voices for the congregation.

My mother and father-in-law have only been to one other Latics games (they are Villa supporters after all) which was Forest away in the third round a few years back. Hope they are lucky charms.

One thing that made me laugh (a lot) about that last game was that they got to the carpark we agreed to meet up at early, so the pair of them popped into the nearest place for a drink whilst they waited......Hooters!

I'm not so sure BP. He has come across as a bit of a goon since Saturday...

I know what you mean, but it can be construed as personal, he made one about me which was later removed, as you know I like a bit of banter (we have had our differences of opinion many times Lee) but always kept it civil.

Am bringing my daughter and son in law, who are home from Sunderland for Christmas

That's an extra £40 odd , sat in rre, and they are looking forward to it, their first game since early last season

Yep. 25 years of 30 games minimum. Plus one extra now to cancel out your pathetic dummy spitting.

WOW the original superfan your blue peter badge is in the post, if its taken my posts about not attending away games to get you to go your not much of a fan are you ? Yet another one who didnt have to sit through the game on Saturday yet wants to have a dig, bit of a cheek really I say I cant justify paying out on away games to watch players who dont try (ive missed one in the past 2 years) yet you only decide to attend a Boxing Day home game on the back of my comments, I think its you who is sounding like a bit of a goon pal.

After 56 years of watching Latics I have seen, and heard all this before. People who just cannot accept the down side of the roller coaster ride that being a football fan is. We have had two absolute horror shows, and the mood has turned from very positive, to doom and gloom. But it's what football does, it builds you up and then smashes you back down again. Me and my good lady will be making the 200 mile round trip to BP on Boxing day expecting nothing more nor less than the usual journey back up the A1, feeling totally elated, or gut wrenching sickness. It's football that's what happens.

More important is to keep fit, healthy and happy. A Merry Christmas to one and all. :chubb:

Wont give my money to milton keynes. Pal. And if you think thats all youve said then you have mental problems, you were also having a go earlier in the season. Plus its not just what you say, its your self appointed position that makes you out to be a hypocritical goon. Dont bother replying I wont read it.

Really can't understand why these attacks are personal

As has been explained, its because the person involved spent the summer lecturing us about how he is a super positive superfan 100% support back the lads Ultra. Then when we started slowly his gang started singing songs about being enbarrassed and he was on here slating the team as relegation fodder. Then we picked up and he wiped his actions from his brain and started preaching again. Now we have had two poor results and he has reverted to type. It is hypocritical and annoying, thats why he has set himself up for ridicule.

Merry Xmas to you too.
