Having had a night to sleep on it.... He's definitely disappointed me.... And I think less of him as a result.

All this #whoscomingwithme, #OneTeamOneDream, 3 girls showing interest doesn't mean I'll bat an eye lid as I've been married 10 years stuff has been shown to be hollow.

In his Barnsley press conference he's referenced their chairman's desire to employ him as a contributory factor - typical football platitude clap trap I realise - however Corney gave him a long contract when his stock was lower.... and this is how he repays that. It's a poor show. He's just as greedy and disloyal as the rest. His talk was just that. I shouldn't be surprised.... But I was duped by his media persona.

For those of you wanting to retort with..... 'If you were offered more money you'd change jobs'.... I have been in the past and I didn't.... Because I didn't feel it right for my career. For those of you who'd then respond... ''He obviously felt it right for his career'.... I don't believe he had to move with 15 games to go in the position we are.

Joe Royle could've gone to City... It didn't do his career any harm that he didn't. Johnson could've and should've stayed in respect of his former chairman's backing, for the players he had signed and for support he had received from everyone else from the club who gave him his first managerial job.

He's therefore a charlatan in my eyes.... And I shall ignore him and not waste my energy on him or Tommy Wright, who was on the football scrap heap after Chesterfield.

Deano, you have my complete support. The very best to you & Locky. Use our former manager's lack of respect for everyone else as motivation. Let's give this the best shot we can.

Spot on but why didn't Corney do what Swindon did and tell Barnsley to look elsewhere. Johnson is not the only one at fault - was that four year contract not worth the paper it was written on? £200k in compensation - ludicrous.

Garbage ,

Obvious that LJ wanted to go to further his career and SC saying no would have left an unhappy manager.

As Sir Alex always preached - don't want to be here - THEN GO.

No coincidence in my book that 2 extremely poor performances after the Swindon game have come at this time whilst LJ and Wright were obviously distracted.

I have no problem with LJ going because of career move and i can understand the reason why etc , but to do it now after all the claptrap he has come out with just gives a huge slap in the face not only to the club but all the players.

The exact circumstances of him leaving are as yet unknown.

For the time being I prefer 'not' to give him the benefit of the doubt - I shall ignore him, like I do all visiting managers.

The crowds response will be interesting though - a much more accurate judgment than on a forum.

I was disappointed, but would have given him a clap on his return....that is until I heard his press conference, with the Barnsley fella stating that he has created a detailed plan for his 1st 100 day in charge.

His mind was obviously made up quite early on that he wanted to go and as a result, I don't think it's a coincidence that the players seemed like they couldn't be arsed or had any clue how to play on Saturday!

Bridges burned for me!

LJ can't resign because he signed a four year contract - it works both ways. If permission to talk had been refused he couldn't throw his toys out of the pram because his stock would have fallen. A quick no get on with it here and the away fans might not have witnessed that directionless performance at Orient. LJ is too arrogant not to do his best.

At the least SC should have persuaded him to see out the season on the promise that he could talk to suitors in the summer.

Can certainly understand the disappointmeny bit. However, is the 100 day dossier going to be different (apart from names and dates) from the one he did for us? After all, Barnsley's position now is where we were when LJ took over (not that I'm bittetr but I really, REALLY want them to go down).

.....when LJ returns with Barnsley?

Big cheer?

Polite applause?

Ignore?

Abuse?

Launch a half eaten chicken balti with deadly accuracy?

I'm going for polite applause unless he says or does something that really p*sses me off!!!

At £2.80p a pop, the only place my pie is going is in my gob.

And if only they still did chicken balti pies. They were outstanding.

Some very good post in this. Spot on Andy.

Really hope Deano can lift the team and get a great performance. I am doubtful, but hopeful.

I could not wish him more luck though.

Johnson has given us more spin than Tony Blair on a Kiddies roundabout.

A big banner for the players with "Johnson lost the faith in you - we havent"

I'm firmly in the camp that LJ did a very good job and expect him to have a great career. However, he'll be there that day in the role of pantomime villain, I'd find it entertaining if people got on his case a bit but generated the kind of atmosphere that he'd love to see at Barnsley.

When I've spoken to him, I've always found him engaging, friendly and thoroughly likeable but football is entertainment. No real need to present flowers or give him a minutes applause on the 43rd minute or whatever.

Indifference.

Same seemingly an emotion that people are incapable of.

Cheer the team/management on.

Johnson is no longer the manager of Latics.

Same again Johnson was here for a short time while he was here he made imrpovements overall but he hasn't seen the job through so I wouldn't give him anykind of ovation and we move on.

Be nice if Corney or the club came out and let everyone know what really went on but I suspect the little snake has had some sort of confidentiality agreement put into the deal.

As we know nothing I'm judging knowone at the moment their may have been disagreements behind the scenes. However overtime these things have a habit of coming out in the wash at some point so lets see what happens. If Johnson touted himself around then its no worse than what Iain Dowie did who did more vocally in the press, how many want him back yet criticise Johnson for a lack of loyalty?
