Don't wanna piss on anybodies chips but he did dog:censored:e at the Plastics with a lot of money in his last job, and I won't be under any illusions that if he comes we really are only a stepping stone.

I'd be very happy with him still. Turned down 1860 Munich not long back and had Brentford playing some class football in this league. A genuine coup but I'll not be setting my expectations too high.

Don't know too much about it but he got less than half a season with them before being sacked. Considering that he took them to the playoffs the season before, after Coyle had left them in lower mid-table, I'd say the sacking was pretty harsh.

It's not unusual for people in football to be in the directors area so don't take it as gospel. Plus he was sat with Alan Hardy who knows loads of people in football and corney wasn't there. I would imagine that if a deal is to be done corney will be at least present.

I would be over the moon with Rosler as an appointment it would be a statement of intent, but let's see what happens. We usually announce these things on Sunday don't we?

Thats true, Ive sat in the directors box taking notes, he's probably doing a bit of scouting.

PS Glossop 5 wins in 7 days.

Was half expecting it to be mentioned on RadioManc after the game as they'd have contacts with both us & rosler and a reporter at the game but no mention of him (up until me getting out of the car anyway).

Jimmy Wagg was asking if we'd give it to Holden & Tony P permanently or have A.N Other.

I'm surprised they could tear themselves away from talking about Bolton to discuss us!

There are others available I'd take in front of him, but I'd be happy if we got Rosler (despite him being City). It'd be an appointment that'd spark a bit of pre-season optimism and given the lacklustre ending to this season, I think that'll be important.

Was able to visualise what BP will look like with 4 sides for the first time in a long time today and, with the right appointment, it could all be good again come August.

Corney is back in the Country tomorrow......I have a meeting in the diary with him on Tuesday

Does this strengthen the Warburton rumour?

Did Rosler do well at Brentford because Warburton was his director of football or did Watburton do well once he'd gone because of the foundations Rosler had laid?

Seems safe to ignore the basket case that is Wigan after previously successful Coyle & Mackay both did nowt either ......

This would undoubtedly be a solid appointment and could turn out to be a great one.......

Didn't blood a loanee except when forced by Mills' injury.

Could that add weight to the new manager being present rumour?

That would undermine Holden if selection was out of his hands, and you'd think there'd be some sort of leak if talks were so advanced though.

This glimmer of interest is the only thing keeping me going!

Gerrard and Woodland are injured.

Kean hasn't (rightly) been able to displace Mustard since he was injured

There was talk that Sadler didn't play well against Crawley.

Ditto Wilkinson, especially with some raising concerns about his attitude

If Rosler was dictating policy and that is a massive if. I seriously doubt Holden was all that bothered about it.

why do some think that he would be 'out of our price range'?

There are only ever a limited number of football league jobs and any boss out of work would be interested.

Rosler is out of work, presumably has a nice chunk of £ from his sacking at Wigan, lives locally and we are a decent club with a decent core of a squad; and a bit of promise for the future with the new stand etc.

Of course he'd be interested.

Not my first choice, but not a bad one either, assuming he is the new boss.
