good point. Maybe QPR are spending early before they are hit with a transfer embargo

I'd imagine wit the likes of Ferdinand being released, plus their parachute payments guarantee thithey will also be offering fairly silly money too.

Manager Mark Cooper leaving Swindon too for Sheffield United apparently. They've gone for excitement after dour Clough.

 

On Williams, a lot of those 22 goals were off the bench as well. His goal/minute ratio will be mad; League 1 will go mental after him but wouldn't be surprised to see him at Barnsley, with him being ex-Yeovil

Williams is one of them that I've never been that impressed by, as you say though he's unlikely to be short of offers, neither will the goalkeeper.

Why wouldn't you offer your 28 year old 22 goal leading scorer a new contract. He's the divisions top marksman...it just doesn't make sense!

Because he'd turn it down to follow his current gaffer to Sheffield United thus pushing Baxter further down the pecking order there.
