I'd have Cassidy for Turner to try and get the ball to stick up top with Croft and Forte supporting from wide and B.Wilson for Brown at RB. Undecided on the striker, i think turner has a big season in him but unsure if he can play up top on his own, i think cassidy's game suits playing as a lone striker. Also presuming we sign Gunning this week. The 3 behind the striker are all very good and this formation should get us goals, give green a free role, let him do his thing. Weird Hardly weird is it, with a new arrival expected Monday its wishful thinking, if he doesnt sign Id go with Edmundson as he has been the best of the other centrehalves ive seen pre season. HarryBosch Posted August 3, 2015 Share Posted August 3, 2015 I think it will be Coleman Brown (Wilson can obviously leave so it'd seem daft starting him) J Wilson Burn (he should be our fittest player if he's done Boro's pre season) Mills Croft Kelly Winchester Jones Forte (I wouldn't be surprised if he squeezes Green in somewhere though) Cassidy (he's been signed to start but I'd prefer to see Turner there) It's been some time since it's been so difficult to predict the team (I think) I could even see Croft or Winchester not starting and us going with Cassidy and Turner/Murphy up front. Personally, I'd like Turner in the team but I think he'll go with 5 in the middle and therefore that'll mean Cassidy getting the nod with Croft & Forte occupying the flanks, with Jones & Winchester providing support. I can't see him playing a 442 as that'll mean Kelly & Jones as the nailed on centre mids leaving Winchester, Green & Dunn on the bench. I'm happy with Coleman if he carries on where he left off. Work rate & quality from Croft & Jones. Flair from Winchester & Forte or Green & Dunn from the bench (or if starting). Upfront is the only area where we don't know what we're going to get in my opinion. Granted that is the most important area.... The midfield should be cause for excitement. Evidently lacking in depth at the back, but as starting XI go, ours should be able to match most sides.
