Lags
Anyone see what he's alleged to have done in the 77th minute?. He's been charged by the FA who say the 3 match auto ban would be insufficient. Caught on video not by the match officials

underdog
I must admit I am curious myself. I believe Rochdale have lodged an appeal against whatever he is going to get..hmmmm
palmer1
It will be for smacking Clarke at the corner in the 2nd half. Clarke had lengthy treatment and was not happy complaing to the ref. it wont have been seen due to the scramble of bodies going for the ball

RobOAFC
12 matches would suggest biting or something along those lines?
bozman
That's one hell of a ban. Seems bizzare that they still haven't confirmed what he actually did.
opinions4u
12 matches would suggest biting or something along those lines? Cannibalism perhaps?

danoafc
12 matches would suggest biting or something along those lines? Agreed. Or squeezing/punching somebody in the bollocks or similar.
yarddog73
12 games, he must of finger blasted him for that.
NewBlue
League 1 doesn't get much coverage on Sky Sports but I'd bet that a 12-match ban will interest them enough to investigate...
BP1960
If this afected the outcome get the match replayed or hand Latics 3 points.

Horlicks
For elbowing Peter Clarke
BP1960
We'd have lost 2-0 against 10 men. A sending off after 77 minutes may have turned the game Latics way, Won't happen of course, but the FL should order the match be played again (accepted though we might lose that too). mcfluff1985
For elbowing Peter Clarke 12 games for an elbow? Must be something more to it
losesome
12 games for an elbow? Must be something more to it More like he elbowed the ref for that sort of ban. Can only assume he must have took a chunk out of Clarke with his teeth then spat it in his face!! Suarez only got 10 games for biting Ivanovich and that was the 2nd time he'd done it
bozman
3rd longest ban the FA have given a player apparently, so must be something more than an elbow surely.
ChrisA
He might think twice about doing it next time.
losesome
Latics didn't make any comments after the game about it. If it was seen by ref then surely it would have been red card and a penalty. Good excuse that Robbo missed in his aftermatch interview !!!!!
