Lincoln - FA Cup

Recommended Posts

They'll fancy this, at home big gate, nothing to lose but will they freeze in front of the cameras?

If we carry on the form of the last two games in particular and the defence remains as solid as it has been for most of the season we shouldn't lose this one. Cup shock or a safe entry into the money spinning half of the cup?

So we are due a defeat to non-league given our last loss in the Cup to non league was in 1971? Scarborough?

If we go at them we'll beat them. A scout I work with says the big fella up front is a handful and they have Theo Robinson alongside, but in reality we are the league side so it should be us going out there with them worried about us. But it's the FA Cup...

We seem to turn up for cup games this season so I'm expecting us to win.

Cup games this season

Wigan (H) W2-1 Flynn, Law

PNE (A) L0-2

Carlisle (H) L4-5 McKay, Osei 2, Banks

Fleetwood (A) W2-0 McKay, Erwin

Donny (H) W2-1 Flynn, McKay

Blackburn (A) D2-2 (won on pens) Lapado, Wilson

12 goals in 6 games.

League 11 goals in 19

It will be interesting to see if the third round draw throws up a good potential tie for the winners.

If I read it right that the draw is before kick off, I personally think that will inevitably prey on players minds for both teams! .. I don't think it's gonna be an advantage in any way for us in that sense!

Seeing where they are in the league they may do a Donny and rest a few players !!!!

Now that would be the ultimate putdown.

I hear they might play 6ft 5ins centre back Jamie McCombe, hope we take note on corner kicks.
