Clarke for me. It should be law but actually thought he was awful bar set pieces and shot at the end. Ripley made vital saves again but Clarke kept us organised defended well and was a threat at the other end. Has more movement in the opposition box than our strikers at times

Clarke was like a man possessed at times - superb leadership again but I`ve opted for Fane by a whisker. At times it was like he was on his own in midfield, great work rate, made some very timely challenges and has started to drive forward a bit more just like he did early season.

Law didn't do a great deal but when the other options are Banks and Green it's easy to see why he was asked to do a job in there. I'd settle for someone who at least has a shot on them at the moment.

Green is reasonably attacking.

If he could pass he'd have the perfect balance for a centre mid. You can tell he's an experienced player...

I thought after a silly few first half minutes, Edmondson really played well and settled into that back line, alongside Clarke/Gerrard he could become a real player. Thought Fane stood out though, seemed to be everywhere, even if his distribution at times was poor.

Fane for me.

There's a footballer in there. Once a game (if that) he'll drive at defences and they're terrified. He clearly doesn't know what he's going to do when he gets there but I'd like to see him make those runs more frequently.

So, do we think that Shez can turn Fane into that footballer?

Clearly he lacks ball control and his turning circle resembles that of a bus with the ball at his feet, but he has shown glimpses of something decent about to happen.

For me he is worth sticking with as currently we dont have much else in the way of potential in the team (Edmundson aside). It was good to see Glackin getting a cameo appearance as it would have done his confidence a world of good.
