Corporate meal thing

Recommended Posts

Definitely will be a supporters bar as well - Alan Hardy said that as well.

Sorry about the positive post - but it was a really good evening.

Not only did I like the stand and facilities, Barry Owen and Simon Corney were really nice people with a definitely love of the club.

That's probably enough to get me barred off owtb ....

Hope you didn't feel fleeced

This is good to hear, and a win helps to make it a good evening too.

Is the table for 10, £25 or £50 per head?

Definitely didn't feel fleeced.

Match ticket - £22

Car parking - £5

Programme - £3

Tea/coffee x2 - £3

3 course meal - £30?

I think from what I saw last night, some of the boxes (i.e. Table of ten) were doing the pie and peas deal, some were doing the whole thing - so I guess it's your choice (but whole group would have to do the same if guess).

Drop Jenny et al an email and they will let you know options.

A really good night and I'd say great value.

Arrive early and park in the carpark, plus to get a programme and a team sheet.

All the staff were very friendly, helpful and made you feel looked after throughout the evening.

Food was very good - 3 course meal, plus hot drink/chocolates and then hot drinks and biscuits at halftime.

Table service for he bar, including pre-ordering your HT drinks to be on your table when you get there.

Padded seats - which did make things feel less cold (Mrs Scapegoat particularly impressed by this).

A compare does a bit before the game - interviewed a couple of players (Edmundson and Holloway) and then welcomes every table personally.

After the game, he interviews MOTM.

Me and a mate both took out wives, and against all there pre-concerns (Valentines day at BP?!?) they really enjoyed it and clearly stated they would do it again.

We were lucky and sat in front of Alan Hardy and Barry Owen (with Simon Corney just behind) - who instigated conversation and who were true gentlemen and good fun to talk football too for the evening. Alan and Barry both also asked if we'd enjoyed the evening and what we thought of the facility. Also work is about to start on the upstairs, which will be a 400 capacity conference centre.

At the end, Jenny comes round and takes each tables photo with the MOTM which is emailed through as a memento.

Really really good experience. If you can get 10 of you together I think you can do a box for a similar cost per person - though they were all full last night with companies.

This isn't :censored:ing Tripadvisor

I appreciate your money won't go to the club... but I've been to three of the Simon Wood events there and it was absolutely outstanding.

I went to a Jersey Boys tribute night there a few months ago and the food was the nicest I've ever experienced in my life. Drinks were a bit expensive, but luckily we only live round the corner, so the good lady went home and got a bottle of vodka for her bag...
