Diego_Sideburns Posted February 20, 2017 Share Posted February 20, 2017 The BBC is reporting the chairman of Bristol Rovers has condemned the actions taken by stewards, police and fans after a fight at Vale Park on Saturday. He has called for an investigation in to police conduct after footage emerged appearing to show a steward punching fans in an argument at the game. Two fans were taken to hospital and there were reports of pepper spray being used. There is room for the Bristol fans down the front, (as apparent in the second video) but to have most of a stand cordoned off for no clear reason is asking for trouble. I'm glad that there is a match-day official amongst those who were arrested, perhaps clubs will think twice about employing nightclub bouncers as football stewards.
