astottie
Vale won.when was the last time that happened? They should be well motivated now for Saturday and Fleetwood have nothing really to play for. Bury seem to have the hardest game and thought they were safe on Saturday running round on lap of honour. Interesting Some result that.have lost their last 5 without scoring a goal. They must be kicking themselves over losing at chesterfield

johnafoafc
Tricky game for Vale as you'd imagine Fleetwood will be going for a win at all costs. Noblot's superior goal difference means a point will be enough for them to clinch second spot. It all hinges on which Peterborough team turn up as on their day they're a very capable team. Personally, despite the geography, I'd prefer the Gills to stay up as we usually gain more points off them than Vale.
jsslatic
I'm still surprised Newcastle sent a full strength team out the other night despite their playoff place being secure.

bozman
Does anyone know why League 1 finishes a week before the Championship and League 2 this season?
Crusoe
30 minutes ago, bozman said: Does anyone know why League 1 finishes a week before the Championship and League 2 this season? I was told it's because the cup final is on the bank holiday Saturday, so they can't spread all of the playoffs across the weekend as usual. For some reason the League One playoff was chosen to be shifted to the weekend earlier. Which means, in turn, an earlier finish to the regular season. An extra week for Shez et al to start planing for next season..... don't see it as a bad thing personally. It's certainly different from the nonsense of the last two years..... assuming Shez stays this time of course.
