disjointed
Well played the organisers, if he had just punctured and was on his own chasing back they rightly turn a blind eye to these things, but there must have been 50 in that group. Hometownclub
It was certainly an incredible change of speed, he took about 150 metres out of the bunch in just a few seconds. Seriously, he was rightfully disqualified, thats just taking the piss.
dave_ragg1984
PETER SAGAN WINS A STAGE! He didn't just finish in the top 3. He actually finished first. Amazing.

I know the square root of sod all about cycling but it's right that they turn a blind eye to someone getting pulled along by a car? Blimey

Bouhanni a whisker behind despite a bad crash. That was the last of Saturdays winnings

dave_ragg1984
I know, but the poster above suggested they rightly turn a blind eye to these things Its not so much pulling the rider along physically, the rider might draft behind a car for a bit to go a bit faster to jump back onto a group after a mechanical or crash. Its not allowed as such, but they are usually pretty lenient. Sometimes riders may drop back to a team car to pick up drinks, and hold onto the bottle for longer than they should, but its a matter of seconds. They won't literally get dragged along until they are back on with the group. You have to properly take the piss to get disqualified... which is exactly what Nibali did.
