Matt Chambers seems to think Coleman, Dieng, Jones, Edmundson and Tuohy all have options which will be extended.

Reckons Mills, Cornell, Poleon, Turner and yoofs will be let go.

Forte, Brian Wilson, James Wilson and Gerrard will come down to finances, and whether they want to, with Croft a maybe.

Yeah, some confusion about who we have options on. I'd read nothing about Coleman, Edmundson, Jones, Winchester or Murphy having options until that article. Chron previously said Winchester had a deal until 2017.

1. Joel Coleman (2017)

31. Chris Renshaw (scholar)

2. Connor Brown (2017)

27. George Edmundson (2017)

Kallum Mantack (scholar)

Jamie Stott (scholar)

6. Liam Kelly (2017)

28. Danny Byrnes (2017)

Lee Knight (scholar)

14. Jake Cassidy (2017 plus option)

19. Rhys Murphy (2017 plus option)

Assuming the scholars offered contracts will stay on, that could be the basic squad that a new manager has to work with.

I'm sure a few of the players offered contracts will stay but I can't see the best ones, who might've been wavering beforehand, staying now that Shez has gone.

I can't really be bothered looking up what rules trigger a transfer embargo; I know that overspending does but that is unlikely to be a problem but if failing to pay also triggers it then given recent struggles to meet commitments we could be struggling to get 11 players out soon.

Good job we don't play until August then...

From BBC :-

Football League rules state that clubs failing to meet HMRC payments, or football creditor debts on time are automatically temporarily embargoed until such time as these payments are settled.

Doesnt it appear daft that Notts County can recruit a new manager WITH COMPO? or was there? when still owing other clubs for players. Embargo should include manager?

It probably does include it. Corney probably told them they can pay it when it's lifted
