smithybridgeblue
A nation of 330k people have qualified for Euros. From memory their group included Holland, C,zech Republic and Turkey. They are now competing with Ronaldo, Nani, Pepe etc in the finals. What they do have is identity, desire, shared goal, pride, ambition. 2-3 years ago they were very poor. In another two years they may be the same, but they are having fun now. Loans, squad turnover are no way forward for a lower league club. BP1960
Got the correct score in the Euro prediction comp, I must have had a few too many to drink at the time I made the predictions.

Stevie_J
Portugal are :censored:e though, aren't they? Take out Ronaldo (who just looks pissed off to be surrounded by players not even half as good as him) and they're one of the worst teams in the competition. disjointed
I'm currently on holiday in Portugal the apathy to their team from the locals is quite telling. It's like being at home with some Latics fans
L1onheartNew
They were magnificent against a truly awful England and that chant at the end from fans and players as one made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Real togetherness.
