Magister
Has anybody got a spare £24 million? For that asking price apparently you could get the brand , the stand and the land with the team thrown in.

Twisbrogan
FWIW, I heard a similar kind of figure about a year or so ago from someone who reckoned they'd seen some sort of sales pack/ prospectus.

adamoafc
It was £14 million last time there is not a chance anyone would buy us for 24! Must be joking. The club isn't worth it.

real
Wow. TTA paid nowt for the club and about £6m for the land. They've spent £6m on the new stand (and also lost about £6m in operating losses, but can't expect to recover those anymore than you'd hand over past profit). The club has lost half its fans and hasn't finished in the top half for 7 years. For the club and all the land £24m is a joke. Maybe £15m would be fair if the land is included. LaticsPete
It's an asking price ...not necessarily what they are expecting
24hoursfromtulsehill
If I had £24 million I could lose it by bankrolling Latics for 30 years.
yarddog73
And to say I was slated for saying it was around £25 million.
youngen
If you bought a plot of land and built a house on it, would you sell it for exactly the amount you spent, or would you want more (a lot more)? Any football club within the league system is a potentially massive investment opportunity. Someone spending £24 mill and then a further £2/3million investment in the team could see their money returned within a year or 2 if we moved up to the Championship. Football is a big business nowadays and the money available is worth the risk, so getting all of the assets and the club, the price is not too ridiculous. Especially seen as you would probably get it for £20+mill.
yarddog73
It's ridiculous and unrealistic to expect any profit, they've run the club like a :censored:ing shambles and they still want to cream every last penny out of us, that is after running us into the ground and stifling any sort of progress. mcfluff1985
Can we be careful of taking 24 million as fact with absolutely zero evidence. Cheers

There's a bloke in America who has a bit of cash to spare and looking to forge further relationships in this country, he's a bit busy at the moment, so you might have to approach his family. pinevillawill
the price is not too ridiculous What about the wider factors? How many clubs are there in the area? Are you buying a club in an affluent area or a poor area? What is the potential fan base?
