Who said anything about proud? Football clubs are not a normal business. Nobody gets involved without knowing the risks. Is it good that the bills are sometimes late? No. Has it been the end of the world? No. Well to some here it has

I'm not sure it has 'been the end of the world' to anyone.  It gives people cause for concern is all.

If it happens as a one-off, you can reasonably put it down to a similarly one-off cashflow issue.  When it becomes standard practice, people worry because it suggests a constant issue with cashflow and, if you repeatedly put yourself in that position and something crops up out of the blue, it could turn into the 'end of the world' you're talking about all too easily.  Then there's the added context of loan facilities against the club, after several years of boasting that the club's only debts were to TTA.

Many supporters don't want to wait for the 'end of the world' scenario before worrying, which was one of the main reasons the Trust came about, after Chris Moore springing a surprise 'end of the world' on us all.

I don't think anyone should be criticised for taking the approach of not concerning themselves with the club's finances and just focusing on the football.  Equally, I don't understand having a go at those who raise what appear to be fairly valid concerns.

We can do nothing about it but it doesn't make it acceptable and the fact that it's becoming common practice is a worry.

At least flagging it on here causes some sort of a response from the club hierarchy. Better than nothing.

Nobody thinks that.  What are you going to do about it?  What can you change and achieve by constantly whining on here about such matters?  Matters  anout which you actually know very little about apart from the press may say or what someone 'in the know' says a mate told them...

Your logic is flawed-as is usual. Just because it is in the press doesnt make it unbelievable-you are getted confused with your reading made up crap in the Daily Mail.

Christ you are a walking cliche aren't you.  Someone dares to disagree with a Marxist and its always "You read the Mail! you fascist!".  Just because they disagree... and heaven forbid they have an opinion of their own, formulated on their own, based on their own life experiences.  Grow up.  I hope you are a teenager or young adult, there is no other excuse for your mind-set of jealous envious rage and child like whining.  You just spout the same old bitter bollocks day after day, what a miserable way to live.  I don't read the Mail, just like I don't read the Guardian or Independent or Telegraph or any newspaper for that matter - all biased rags.  I'd say that these days a lot of my views and standpoints come from me having a deep interest in a number of thinkers and commentators including the writing of possibly one of the greatest thinkers of our times, Hitchens... now there is a rampant right winger.  Try opening your mind and not coming at everything with a pre loaded agenda.  Most people learn that with age.

Hitchens is one of the greatest thinkers of our time?  Good grief.  I'm not known for any left wing tendencies but assuming that you are talking about the sibling that is still alive the bloke is just a rabble rouser paid to whip up controversy.

He certainly does a lot of thinking though. From atheist to Christian, from Socialist to Tory. He just has trouble making his mind up ?.

he quite likes Corbs though, I'm not sure Kowenicki has picked up on that bit.

Your'e wrong

My fav books of his being of course, Hitch 22, sensational life story, letters to a young contrarian and god is not great.  I live a lot of my life by one of his quotes

Beware the irrational, however seductive. Shun the 'transcendent' and all who invite you to subordinate or annihilate yourself. Distrust compassion; prefer dignity for yourself and others. Don't be afraid to be thought arrogant or selfish. Picture all experts as if they were mammals. Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity. Seek out argument and disputation for their own sake; the grave will supply plenty of time for silence. Suspect your own motives, and all excuses. Do not live for others any more than you would expect others to live for you.”

BRILLIANT!

Peter Hitchens, however,  is a bit of a pillock.

Like you meant Christopher ??

would you like me to post a pic of my bookshel with my copies of his books.  quite happy to when I get home...

I like his tale of when he realise the communist party of Cuba was a joke as the free prostitutes lead away the party faithful for a night of pleasure.

I love the man.  genius.  absolute genius that puts people like fry and dawkins to shame.

I'm afraid your use of the present tense "is" gives you away. Been dead a while I'm afraid.

Chris is still one of the greatest thinkers of our time, dead.

Of course he is dead.  Some of the abuse he got leading up to it from religious types was obvious and pathetic. You will have seen the interview with Paxman, as I did. where he talked very frankly about it.

You will have read his book that wasn't finished as he died before he could... as I have?

Still yawning.  Picking over a slip of the keyboard to attempt to get some kind of 'win' on an internet forum.

how fragile your ego must be...   I think we are done unless you have another weak minded and childish retort.
