Well, err.....yes.

Are you not aware that strikers can shoot a bit straighter and from better positions that they can arrive at more quickly the higher up the leagues you go?

..and hitting the ball harder too.

No, I dare say you haven't either.

I'd be confident saying it is nonsense though.

Why are you persisting in your ridiculous point of view?  It is blindingly obvious that the higher the standard of outfield player the more demanding the role of keeper must be. As to whether shots are harder, I imagine that better players hit the ball optimally more often than their inferiors so although the odd shot in lower level football will be hit very hard that will be the case more often higher up.  They will also be better timed, better placed etc. which will make them harder to keep out.

I don't have scientific evidence, or even stronger than that to get you to admit you are wrong.

But I am willing to make an educated guess.

I'll add in faster too, so quicker reactions needed.

Adam Smith released by Northampton, Ripley like keeper, but taller.

Hope we get fixed up ASAP with a new keeper.

I will rely on Shez to choose wisely with our scarce resources.Good to hear from you.

Not really but turn it around if you like, put Charlton keeper into Chelsea team, what is the impact?

A simpler comparison would be what happens if you put a kid who's good at keepy uppy in City's goal.

On the bits I saw on MOTD, Ripley would be a big improvement on Guzan.

Ex Sutton keeper Wayne Shaw would be a "big" improvement on Guzan.....can't think of many other nr. 1's who took teams down in successive seasons.
