  1. Though I regularly read OWTB, I rarely post. When I first saw this issue, I resisted replying, feeling it would quickly go away. Sadly, this has not been the case and feel I should clarify the situation. As a Latics fan, I and my company, have worked with and provided support to the club in many ways. Last year, as part of a commercial deal we supplied a triple mower on extended loan. That loan period expired some time ago. Recently, we had the opportunity to turn that machine back into cash (approx £20k),without the need to depreciate our asset. I consulted the club to advise them of this and it was agreed we would collect the machine. At the same time, I re-affirmed our continued support with other similar initiatives at the appropriate time. May I ask that all Latics fans now concentrate on more positive things, such as recent form, contract extensions, this week at Latics, Little Latics and roar is on to 3 points today.
  2. When I got to the bit about your 14 year old, I filled up. Oldham Athletic, how do you explain it. Been married for over 35 years & my wife still doesn't understand, - god knows, I've tried. Your post gives me hope.
  3. Amazed Paul Warhurst's name hasn't been mentioned.
  4. From United website Lindegaard set for knee op The club have confirmed that goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard will undergo knee surgery on Thursday. The operation will keep the United stopper on the sidelines for the next five weeks. Since signing for the Reds in January, the Dane has made two appearances in goal. His debut came in the 2-1 FA Cup win at Southampton and he kept a clean sheet in the next round victory over Crawley Town at Old Trafford.
  5. Went into Stockport at 8.30 this morning. Because of traffic, I parked on the car park about 100 yards from E.P. With the heavy rain it was like a skid pan. Within 5 minutes, I saw 5 different people slip on their backsides, and this was crossing the main A6 by the Town Hall. If it thaws enough, I thinks the pitch will be waterlogged - not looking good
  6. Fantastic post. Is there an e-mail address for the squad?
  7. Simon + Simon + Danny, Action had to be taken, and you took it, unpleasant as it must have been. Hopefully Joe will give the squad, staff, fans, town and importantly owners a msch needed lift. If there is one constant on this board, it is admiration for the 3 of you. You deserve better from the town, and if success comes along it would than overdue, given your fantastic support. One point to consider. When Joe 'walked on water' before, he did it by giving opportunity to good young footballers who were not getting a fair crack at their club. Their talents were developed, some sold to pay the bills (at a huge profit) many of the others were moulded into a team, that if the let 6 goals in, they would try to score 7. If Joe's (full time) return is for the short term, a manager at a certain south Manchester club seems to be be adopting similar principles??? Good Luck and thanks.
  8. Please forward the details of your theories on the benefits of positive thinking as soon as possible to:- Mr G.Brown C/O 10, Downing St. Westminster. Thank you in advance.
  9. Judging by the background to the picture of S.G. (in PINK!) don't think we will need a Goalkeeper on Saturday. Or is the white stuff just there so we can spot the kit?
  10. Name? Steve Halley Location? Cheadle Hulme How Long Supporting the Tics? Over 40 years Best away match you've been to? Does F.A. Semi Final against United at Maine Rd Count? If not City when Sharp scored. All Time Greatest Player? Andy Richie Biggest Rivals (in your eyes)? Leeds.
