  1. The shambolic way the club has been run over the last few years was always going to bite us on the arse at some point. The last 2 transfer windows have been shocking with embargo’s affecting planning. The squad has no balance. To many tippy tappy midfielders and no pace or width. Fane and Gardner once again passengers today. They are crap. No support for Doyle. Seriously worried that there is no fight in the squad and the manager does not know his best team.
  2. Looks like the team selection of a desperate manager.
  3. When will details of how to purchase tickets be announced? The original post says Monday 10th.
  4. The article on the 22nd July also says that work on the upper floor of the new stand would start again in 6-8 weeks. Any signs of activity 10 weeks later?
  5. Not a good detective are you? My post was 9.15am and if you check 768's twitter account the time clock on posts is wrong - out by 8 hours 'just saying'
  6. I think you will find that Ibby has copy and pasted my post. That's my reputation in tatters.
  7. The Chron seem to have a different name every night. Clueless and shows how distant they are from the club.
  8. We were told that the sports direct deal would allow us to compete with the bigger teams in the division. corney said the Sports Direct deal would put us in the top 8 in the division budget wise. In addition, why is the revenue from the new stand not impacting until the season after next ? I though FFP was calculated on expected revenue from the season ahead. Without adequate answers from our owner, the fan base gets further disengaged.
  9. Release Mellor, Morgan -Smith, Elokobi, Dayton, Lockwood, Bove. Keep, Truelove, Brown, Forte, Turner
  10. Absolutely gutted and shocked with this appointment. How on earth can he get the job ? Powerpoint presentation and an ability to bull:censored: at an interview seem the only criteria to getting a managers job at OAFC. We had a chance to show some ambition and appoint a manager who would have given us a chance of upward mobility. Dowie or Rosler would of increased the sale of season tickets following on from the open days last week and created a buzz around the club. 37 years a season ticket holder and I am done. No more whilst present ownership strangles our club to a slow painful death. There is no enjoyment going anymore and no hope for progression on the pitch. Like a small time Newcastle, we are happy to survive in the lower reaches of League 1. This appointment will increase the pace of decline and with Holden alongside him, the future is deeply worrying. This decision is financial suicide by the club who have a total disregard for its fan base. In the last 4 months, we have had the Ched Evans saga and now this. Seem to like to create problems out of nothing.
  11. Absolutely staggered if this appointment is true. Totally underwhelmed. Another season of a rookie manager learning the ropes with the only aim being to keep our head above the relegation zone. This guy has no playing pedigree, no managerial experience and limited coaching experience at youth level. How is that preperation for a managerial post in league 1? The club has no ambition under present ownership. Dowie or Rosler would of given us hope. None now.
  12. The bottom line is a manager should have been appointed soon after Johnson jumped ship but, as usual the board sat on their hands and did nothing. A new man, like a Dowie or Rosler, would have had these players playing hard until the season end, trying to get some momentum for next season and working out squad strengths and weaknesses. Instead we are drifting to a lower mid table place with a number of players thinking of holidays. This season has been a huge missed opportunity to gain a play off spot, looking at the calibre of teams now fighting for 6th place.
  13. How did he manage to get injured on Saturday ? He did f*** all in the 20 minutes he was on the pitch.
  14. Really fear were we will end up this season but am also concerned that seeing another season collapse desperately how it will impact on season ticket sales next season. Under FFP our budget will be further cut again. The club should of put Johnson on gardening leave as soon as it became clear he was interested in going to Barnsley and started to look for new managers to keep our season on track. Corney and the board have sat on their hands yet again and allowed the season to deteriorate to this current shambles. The club is a car crash.
