Philliskirk didn't do much and Yeates played some wayward crosses and corner kicks when he came on. Enough to convince me it was a good decision to let them go to create room for new players.

Main chases everything so he's a terrific defensive asset in my opinion, in addition to the quality he brings in terms of his power and long distance shooting. He helps us defend from the front. Holloway's hold-up play is also fantastic and this is helping the players around him get chances. It's also helping us retain possession and take pressure off the defense. The goals will come for both of them I think, but I wouldn't judge those two on goals alone because of the other qualities they bring.

We saw a side struggling under the weight and pressure of the occasion. I thought every player tried their best. I felt too many players were over-thinking every pass because of nerves. The time Mike Jones tried to take on their defenders when a cross was the best option is an example from last night.
