  1. I just can’t understand how a manager at any level can sit and watch 45 mins of the most utter dross performance any team can produce THEN send out the same 11 players to play the same way.

What on earth did he expect to change!!!!!!!!!!!!

Completely and utterly useless and he must go before any further damage is done.

  2. Well after 60 years of watching latics through thick, thin and even more thin today was the last straw.

On the pitch it was a complete shambles, as well as having half a team of absolute shite players it is even worse to think somebody like Vera is actually paid to even turn up .

If Mouche is captain then we really are doomed,  I can only assume he's captain because he speaks two languages !!! Also why is he played in a defensive holding role when he can't tackle a paper bag.

Tactically Bandido looks completely inept, there appears to be no system to even try and play to, defenders appear to concentrate on making sure they don't come into contact with opposition forwards. By the time the last 15 mins came he just threw 8 men forward without one idea of how we would get the ball upto them.

Today has just confirmed all my pre season fears that next year is the National league and God knows where in the years to come.

Off the pitch we are no better, the main stand is an embarrassing wreck and should be condemned.  The toilet facilities are worse than those in public parks and today I couldn't even get a drink of coffee.

The club has become a complete shambles and is slowly dying which is extremely sad to watch.

Woods handling is poor on high balls and low down.. I think over 45 ish game will be higher than 6/7 goals given away plus he tend to parry shots away rather than go to catch them...I used to get roasted when playing for not getting my 2 hands behind the ball.. And if you come for across make sure you win the ball,  he will because nightmare to play in front of plus he doesn't seem tall (I might be wrong)

Thought he made a couple of good saves low down and in the conditions.

I just don't understand what they teach goalies these days though. I was a goalie and if I could get 2 hands on it to punch it away  ( As woods did twice today) I would get bollocked for not catching it.

Also , as their 2nd goal shown , I was also taught if you dive and get a hand to the ball try and knock it out for a corner. Far to many just knock it back into danger.

Seems crazy to me but im sure some modern day coach will tell me otherwise!!!!

  4. Friendly or not , watching that lot today was depressing.

We will have a fight to finish higher than last season.

Woods in nets will cost us 6/7 goals this season.

Good shot stopper but disaster off his line.

We need at least one old guard CH and have serious doubts about both fullbacks.

Midfield maybe just passable on a good day !!!

Upfront - Absolutely nothing to even trouble a primary school team.

Something has to change and quickly , problem is I don't see that happening.

Salford are a small club with a huge budget. People do understand that right? They could (will) probably out pay and out bid most league 1 teams.  Players go to the money.

So how does the FFP rules work then, I thought it was a only a certain % of turn over that can be spent on players wages.

Given their gates and other income from sponsorship etc I wouldn't think its that big!!!

losesome - I have a nice, 5 bedroomed country property for sale for £1M - it's called "Woodlands". Now, you will be buying the "name" of the property, together with 3 rescue cats that live in the garden and a rabbit (complete with hutch). I`ll retain good title to the bricks and mortar and surrounding freehold land  and will only charge you a peppercorn rent for the first 12 months. We'll then have a chat next year about the subsequent rent you can pay to me for the privilege of residing at Woodlands and feeding my pets. Of course, get your solicitor (Bodgit & Scarper) to check things through first and then wire me the money next week.

    Nice doing business with you.

Throw in the donkey and i will consider it😁

Seriously that's what AL has invested his money in. Until somebody comes along with bottomless pockets of money then we're stuck with him.

All people do is moan, moan, moan . They talk about protest etc but do nowt but moan.

Not buying S/Ts will just make the situation worse, ok if people don't want to do it fine then go and find something else to do on a Saturday.

AL is certainly not my cup of tea but without credible alternatives what is there???

For now we still have a club and as long as we do I will support it whoever owns it or plays for it.

Spoken about a lot, even more rumours,  but has anything been officially and transparently stated? No evidence of any issue as far as I am aware. Otherwise it's standard practice to blame the last guy and we are 18 months in.

So you think SC left everything spic and span!!

  8. Like him or not it is clear that the previous owners have left him with one hand tied behind his back.

It sounds pretty much that he will do a lot of player recruitment and get a head coach to mould them into a team. Realistically with limited budgets what else can we do except recruit overseas and youth development !!!

Maybe it's time all those who haven't bought their season tickets to show their support and lets stand up and be counted!!!

Just watching the oldham Southampton game! We scored 66 in the prem that’s t more than Chelsea in third the season. The players that game  to name a few Gerrard , pointen, Fleming , gunnar ( who played like a forward !) Jobson (my fav player of all time ) redmond Milligan , Henry, Ritchie, onley , not sure Bernard played but joint best player . I’ve had a few and sound like  shucky! But how , how on earth are we in this mess? That team, would survive in the prem today! Truly believe thay! The hand we have been dealt has been horrific! But when u watch that, I believe I , I have to believe we will rise again . Sadly that was the team , my only true memories are the season after that we went down with , my memories of the prem, the last days! But we must rise! We must outlive this cretin ! WE MUST RISE! Was he there then! No was he fuck, does he have the memories a lot of you have ? Sadly I don’t , no does he fucj! We’re bigger than him! We will go on OAFC!!!

Sadly this is where our problems started.

When we were in the prem we had a small minded div 4 board of directors. Their attitude was , Wow never thought I would live to see this so let's just enjoy it whilst we are here.

There was no attempt to try and sell the club or attract investment,  it was a bunch of old men with no foresight. When we did eventually get relegated our then board were just celebrating the fact we had 3 glorious years in the prem. The first thing they did after relegation was to clear out anyone earning more than £500 week.

Inevitably another relegation followed and the rest is history.

Look at the teams that finished below us when we won the old div2.

WHU, Newcastle, Leeds, Southampton, Wolves to name just a few and look where most of these are now. Also look at the stadiums they are playing in and the investments ploughed in.

I know their fan bases are much bigger than ours etc but teams like Burnley & Bournemouth have proved this doesn't need to be an obstacle.

I know people slam the likes of Moore's, Corney  and now AL but it all started with a group of very small minded business men who made one very lucky decision ( based on taking a cheap option ) by appointing Joe Royle.

We can only prey that sometime in the future whoever the owner is makes the same very lucky decision we did back in the 80s.

didnt the spurs game get postponed due to our beach being waterlogged they were dire and struggling for players due to injurys and there for the taking .by the time of the rearanged game all their stars were back typical of our luck

I thought the Spurs game was postponed because of our cup semi replay with United!!!

I do remember at the time of the original game Spurs were in the middle of the worst run in their history . When we did play it they had recovered and were on a much better run.
