I voted for Smith, as brilliant as Tarky was I didn't think he had that much defending to do, mainly because of the ball retention and closing down ahead of him. Mind you, at times it was like watching Beckenbaur with the young lad gliding through their midfield, very exciting. Smith did all the bread and butter stuff easily and doesn't seem to panic even when outnumbered.

To be fair, I thought Davies got across Wes as he was about to play it and then fell down like he was shot. Technically a foul but pretty unlucky and clever play from Davies.

I'm still playing at 51 in an all age league in far north NSW Australia. in fact, my team was the Australian amateur team of the year last season. Can't say i get done for speed that often and I've never been fast - stamina was always my thing. Lots of fat, unfit youngsters out there never mind the over 50s.
