  1. Oh O4U - where is your sense of adventure - chemotherapy is wonderful - you get the joy of eating food that permanently tastes of cardboard, that is when you actually feel hungry because you will notice that you tend to stop eating for periods of time, feeling tired all the time, being unable to concentrate for long periods of time (but you will already be used to that with our performances to date this season. I agree with some of your thoughts though, especially the one relating to lung cancer and being pissed off. As I said in one of my earlier messages back to you, unfortunately all you can do is fight the little bugger and keep a positive attitude because that will help a lot. Anyway I think you and me should have our own body bag competition to see if we can extend medical science!!! Best Wishes John
  2. O4U - don't give up without giving it a damn good fight. Been living with the big C myself for 11 years - it keeps taking a little nibble at me every now and then - no bum now, missing half a lung, three courses of Chemo - but its not getting me that easy. Keep fighting mate - we have the conference to look forward to yet!!! Best Wishes John
  3. Old men at the back of the old broadway stand - pre-Ford Stand - smoking their pipes - still remember the smell now.
  4. Nobody in their right mind would want to buy us. It is just a massive opportunity to throw wheelbarrows full of money down a bottomless pit. The only person hat would "want" to buy us would be a lifelong ardent supporter who had won the jackpot on euromillions i.e. £100 million + and used it as an expensive hobby.
  5. Well then - this is directed at the "people in the know" - has the rumour of the appearance of Jose at training got any substance to it or are we all playing wishful thinking? It would be nice to think we could attract him back and put an arm around his shoulder to keep him on the straight and narrow - but could we afford his wages?
  6. The stock answer to Tony and Sharon from Stroud is as follows:- We come from Oldham......(Where is Oldham?) ...have you ever heard of a place called Manchester? .......well Manchester is just outside Oldham
  7. Wellens has negotiated his release from Doncaster so I assume he will be signing with us over the next day or two - probably on a deal to the end of the season?
  8. There is always one exception to the rule - and you found it straight away
  9. If Dunn was to take a back seat from the playing side would anyone turn their nose up at a replacement in Richie Wellens? Wants to move back over here and we all know he could do a job for us. Just a thought you know!!
  10. There is definately something wrong in the club. This can't be allowed to go much longer. Kelly has no idea what he is doing - he can have all the coaching badges in the world but it doesn't mean he is any good at managing a team. We need a complete change and bring someone in who can turn this mess around and get us playing decent football with some idea where we are going. Please end this madness Simon and appointment a football manager who has some experience, has the respect of the players and can lead them forward. Everyone keeps saying we have the strongest squad for years - it doesn't look like it to me the way we are playing.
  11. I see he has finally gone - doesn't come as much of a surprise really - bit of a waste of a wage in my opinion. If we get a defensive problem we can always bring someone in on loan.
  12. I suspect if you had a sheep in the car in Leeds you would have a queue formed by the time you got back, maybe including a couple of traffic wardens!!!
  13. See Rosler has finished up at Leeds with the Italian Nutcase - good luck with that then - If he can't do anything with the size of Leeds he will never make it.
  14. It literally does need knocking down - the Heating, Plumbing and Electrical Services in there are all shot to pieces and it would cost well over £500K to replace them with new and still be left with a ramshackle stand.
