  1. Hmmm. Macclesfield away under him was as bad as anything we've seen under Mellon. And Northampton, Exeter and Newport wasn't much better...
  2. Every time I listen to one of his interviews, I become more convinced that he's going to resign after the Wealdstone game...
  3. John Sheridan must have logged on in a desperate bid to do another favour for his mate...
  4. I've ordered one but it's nothing to do with thanking - it's just cos I'm an Oldham fan...
  5. Not sure on exact numbers but certainly more than 5 in league; 4 against Mansfield, 1 against Bristol, 1 against Tranmere and 2 against Swindon immediately come to mind. Probably a few others along the way...
  6. That's definitely not true. Wijnhard scored 5 goals in 4 days that season and definitely got a few more along the way...
  7. Does he? Recently, there was only me saying they don't see the hype with him - loads were waxing lyrical about him...
  8. I'm absolutely certain Mike Keegan said the same thing about the new kits when he was on last season...
  9. I imagine if we didn't agree to it, it would class as us forfeiting the match and a 3-0 win would go to Halifax...
  10. It's not costing Halifax a penny. Calderdale council are covering it all, even the refunds process...
  11. I've got 3 tickets. We've decided not to go. We'll win, but so we bloody should do against a team who have shipped as many goals as they have. Incidentally, read that after their relegation, they're likely to go to the National League North. Would have imagined they'd be in the South...
  12. They have no choice but to host those clubs as Accrington are playing them. Oldham playing Halifax at Accrington doesn't need to happen - why would the police want the extra hassle...?
  13. Lancs Police wouldn't agree to us playing at Accrington. Accrington had agreed to all 3 Halifax matches to take place there - Police refused. Our away following for the game is what is complicating things...
  14. They asked Accrington to host our game, but it's a no-go. Looks like The Shay is done with football for a while. It'll be at York or somewhere similar...
  15. Fylde v Gateshead tomorrow subject to pitch inspection. That will mean Gateshead will need to fit in 5 league games between 13th and 20th April...
  16. I'm pretty sure he's still only interim manager too...
  17. In terms of academy, I think we'd keep the Under 18's. It's likely to be the younger age group (U9-U16) that go surely...
  18. A pitch that isn't playable for a game of football can often be playable for rugby...
  19. Surely Halifax have seen the state of the pitch, and the upcoming forecast, and are looking at alternative options for their remaining home games...
  20. Initially, yep - and that's probably the only reason he hasn't been sacked or had the majority turn on him. The managers who get time are able to consistently churn out results...
  21. That's not just here, it's everywhere. Every manager in the modern day who has been given "time" has been given the time because they've gone in and won football matches. Wild was mentioned earlier - people point out he was given 3 years at Halifax. The reason he got 3 years is because he went in and immediately won games of football. Flip side of that is Noble at Wealdstone. Gone in there, can't buy a win. Sacked. It isn't just an Oldham issue...
  22. You could probably argue Parkinson at Altrincham...
