  1. You've never liked Mellon, why?. Do you think you'd get a tune out this bunch of fakes.
  2. Well F*** me. Is it a little too late?. I'll find out when this ferry arrives in Hull tomorrow morning
  3. That side picked tonight I can't defend MM. OK its a very weak chance of play offs..... but it's an absolute must win. So how many goals between the 11 starters? Below 10?
  4. I wonder if the person in the crowd trying to keep the ball blames themselves for having Silva over think it?.
  5. Which he has on more than one occasion. In the main, you play your goalscorer.
  6. So are you an advocate of not playing your leading goalscorer and penalty taker?. Especially If you've nothing behind better. Come on AndyB2 you've better arguments than that.
  7. I've waded through this thread, it's took some time!!. It's clear in that last MM interview, he left the board in no uncertain terms early days that this squad was seriously lacking the required ability for promotion out of the NL. Any OWTB 's users disagree with his verdict?. We can all argue he should even so got a better tune from them. So, let's start from there. I agree with MM and for me from the first few games under DU I knew this side was poor. It can also now be taken that harsh words had been spoken to certain players by MM that saw players leave on loan and I dare say some who refused. If that resulted in MM losing the backing of some the remaining players who then went on to put in substandard performances they shouldn't be professionals. Self pride should always win through or bloody mindedness to prove MM wrong. It's absolutely following on failed policy to sack him now. We've done this to death over many many years without success. MM is hurting, the booing and stinging criticism from the fans which he knows is warranted (The criticism not the booing, I'll never ever see the gain in that) and it's hurting him. He knows he told the board what was coming. The trouble is and he also knows it will be the huge cost to remove these players on contracts to make way in any budget he'll need to bring in what he say's "he knows what it needs". With his track record of promotions he's entitled to say that!!. The board need to learn the lesson where it's failed since Frank took over. Does Frank have the will to back MM judgement with the big cash it will need after all his investment to date?. It will sure test his will if Season ticket sales flounder. I trust MM that he "knows what it needs"
  8. 5 assists is reasonable. Is that enough contribution?
  9. Milligan had lost 2 yards of pace on his return due to the injury picked up just prior. That said he was still a dog of war who put his body on the line every game. Henry for me was the better player but the two complimented each other and were a formidable pair in the middle of the park.
  10. What is Lundstrum?. Is he a box to box grafter, a playmaker or a sit in the hole protector of the back four. For me he's none of the above and not what I expected given the reviews he had when we signed him. He disappointed early days and subsequently latterly been left out or benched. Granted yesterday was one of his better games and many posters have singled him out on this thread as being one of our stand out's yesterday, but I watched him closely yesterday to try answer my opening question. I found that he ambles back when possession is lost and could be one of the reason our midfield is carved open with ease cause he's missing when he does this. He appears quite a slow runner. He rarely makes defence splitting passes nor is a scorer of goals. He can on occasion make runs with the ball but these are fleeting occurrences. I've there for come to the conclusion he's a lesser player than Sheron who at least put's a shift in to mitigate his ability shortcomings. Anyone else come to the same conclusion or see's him differently?
  11. To be fair I think he's being honest. OK it smacks of resigned to our fate this season and that it's ended in failure. I blame this crop of players far more the Mellon and with that view, I want him to have the next season minimum to try shift out the players he knows he needs to and recruit. His record is sound and believe he'll turn OAFC with Frank and Co around.
  12. The last one I can see is the post Alty one..is it that one? EDIT: Found it
  13. Where is this interview posters are talking of?
  14. It would seem crass on the boards part if Mellon was only here to get us into the play off's this time around given the 3 year contract. Can't see that myself. Sure they hoped for play off's, who wouldn't?.
  15. I don't think for one minute your insults are aimed at me, but for god's sake rap up. We know your views, you can make them without the personal attacks. It's every other post.
  16. They ???? 2 maybe 3 would stand out at this level with a team around them that are this level of player. Explain to me why virtually ever game we are out played and made to look garbage
  17. I've always said Sutton is limited. He'll have a career at the likes of Ashton United. Not a chance championship that some believe. He's not consistent for this level.
  18. Give over.... they cross the line, the manager can't run or close down for them. They are simply not good enough
  19. I am not having these performances are down to the manager. It's these players, end of.
  20. Same pattern. So easy to pay through us. Only hope here is that we get our shooting boots on
  21. I am sure someone posted he's recently been sent off. So banned?
  22. The first 30 proved the tactics employed today were utter garbage. Mellon has to take responsibility for that full stop. I am still firmly a Mellon in guy still, but today was down to him. Aided by these players.
