What happened with smith?

I liked Diamond. He looks like he would run Over his granny to win a ball and was constantly shouting and getting involved. Parker should start as he was making nice runs into channels and looked like he wanted it. I don't think it's as depressing as could be made out. Tuesday night I believe that Dickov will play a full strength team and all will be well again hopefully. KTF

I'd be really disappointed given the pre-season we've had and it being a lancs/yorks derby to start with if we don't sell the place out. I'd be disappointed but not surprised! Not much optimism from blades that I know but i'm always wary of a team managed by danny wilson. They have a habit of turning us over on a frequent basis. The lads seem up for it, as am i, so roll on saturday!

I think if we sign M'Voto on a 12 month deal (which is all it'll be realistically) then i think it's a real signal of intent and from the website he seems really positive that he will do. Don't think we'll push hard for playoffs but will be comfortablly mid-table. I think Dickov is taking us in the right direction if we give him time but we as fans are the ones that will decide that.

Do we have it on good authority Stephens is staying. Sounds like he didn't really rip up any trees at Southampton. Think it'll be tough but the squad is a year older (and hopefully wiser) and with one or two shrewd signings we'll be ok. We need the high energy approach we had at the start of last season. towards the end we were letting teams play and had a more orthodox 4-4-2 formation when I though 4-5-1 looked better for us as we had wingers coming out of our ears. Smith up front might be a good shout if we can get some service into him. I'll read this again in 4 months and laugh at how naive I've been!

I agree but when we were winning games at the start of the season (seems like ages ago now) people still weren't coming through the gates so not sure winning games would work! Have to say it's not a nice experience at BP with only 3 stands, no atmosphere at all but I believe Dickov is doing the right things and should be given as much time as he needs.
