  1. !!!!!ANY REFERENCE TO THE PLAYERS TAKING SOME RESPONSIBILITY!!!!!
  2. Montano has shown the ability to take on any defender, pressure the full backs to regain pocession and most important deliver a quality ball into the danger zone! Taylor gave his all....Montano has a more nature ability! Glad he is on board with the Latics
  3. Never nice to see one of our guys get a knock or pull..........However, Tarky took his opportunity when called up and grew more and more dominant as the game went on! Great goal as well Tarky!
  4. Don't know how the inner Latics management are operating.... but what are your thoughts on promoting: £££££ player scoring bonus £££££ Yes or No?
  5. Me and my girl will be there! Team spirit starts with belief.......belief starts with the fans!!! **COME ON OLDHAM**
  6. Fans prediction for the Oldham vs Coventry game 29.09.12
  7. 1-1 written all over it! New Coventry boss + players fighting for new manager attention = tough nut to crack. COME ON LATICS break the cycle...............do us proud!
  8. Why there is no question raised or answers sought WHATSOEVER towards the role and responsibility of Mr Taggart is troubling? Dickov has appointed Taggart as his assistant manager granted, Lee Duxbury appears to be juggling a role as 1st team coach AND reserve team manager…..What is Taggart assisting? An assistant managers role is a complex and challenging one. He's got to be the manager's right-hand man, and yet he's got to be the players' trusted confidante. Players would probably agree the assistant's role is to form the bridge between the team and the manager. The assistant manager is the footballer's footballer, someone to look up to, who's done it all before. He is a man who can relate to the team, who can play good cop to the manager's bad cop, and smooth out any disagreements. On a Monday morning, when there are a bunch of aggrieved players on the training pitch, an assistant's job is to keep everybody happy and be compassionate. Is this Gerry Taggart…………? Maybe Dickov has made a novice choice here that could cost him his role as manager?.
  9. Let's not forget a very important part of this new and improved squad on show...................PD! He clearly has the right vision, although knitting together a bunch of players is the work of time as well as management structure. I was present at the game Vs Scunthorpe and the team effort was very good, the frustrating part of watching any Oldham game is: 1. What we do 'under pressure' with the ball at the 18yard box. 2. Decisions given from the ref that determine the games outcome that we have to swallow....a recent example vs Scunthorpe but the list could go on. I believe Dickov feels the same frustration as we all do and see's clearly the potential right there in front of him. For me, time is now to really work on 'decision making' and 'finishing' under pressure Mr Dickov.
  10. Granted people, its more of a chant than a song but ya know what I mean
  11. Continuing from the recent posts 'Ultra', 'Atmosphere' and 'Singing @ BP can we get some lyrical clarity on Latics songs PAST and PRESENT: 1. Song title 2. Song Lyrics I will start.... 1. COME ON OLDHAM 2. COME ON OLDHAM! Textbookdave
  12. Stick a bell in it as well, give Kuqi a chance.... oooooooooooo I hear you say
  13. Bournemouth Manager Quote about tonights game: "I'd love to beat the club record of 13 away matches unbeaten (currently 11 unbeaten) but I'll talk about it if and when we do it. I just want us to win games". They will be up for letting Chesterfield know who they are! Just a taster for when we get em at BP
  14. My best football atmosphere experience was River Plate FC (Argentina), They are famous for the 'Twelfth man' approach! 90 minutes of singing, drums, trumpets and megaphones! Scarves by the thousands and flags by the hundreds. I noticed a big gap in the middle of the stand behind the goal and my Argentinean friend said watch.... 5 minutes before kickoff the 'Ultra' made their entrance WOW WOW WOW! It just did not stop from that point. Keep it simple: 1x BIG drum As many Tambourines as possible Everyone own a scarf and display it above the head when singing Get the young ones waving the flags 1x song every 5 mins with a 5 min breather for some 'COME ON OLDHAM shout' LETS GO GO GO !!!!
