  1. I think you can interpret "contract cancelled/terminated" as "sacked". If so, it's not that unusual. Nile Ranger springs to mind.
  2. Once the contract has been cancelled, I reckon he won't be able to contain himself.
  3. Fair do's, but I would have imagined that a serious breach of contract (and this could be, but we don't know) would have been finally dealt with by the bloke that owns the company (in this case, OAFC) having been informed by a member of his senior staff (in this case, FB). Abdallah gave the Trust an assurance that he would not meddle in team affairs, but this situation could just be one where he had no option. We'll find the truth behind it all one day, I hope.
  4. You're sure about this? What if FB decided they were more trouble than they were worth and told AL that they were disrupting the harmony within the squad. AL says, "OK, leave it with me. I'll sort it out," FB says thank you very much. He's been quoted a number of times in interviews that he wants to maintain the togetherness of the squad. Not beyond the realms of possibility, is it?
  5. I imagine, but it's only my supposition, that we could pay off their contracts and bid them a (fond) farewell. Granted, that would certainly cost AL and arm and part of a leg at least but, if it rids the club of disruptive influences that destabilise the team, then so be it. I guess that's what you get for being a gobshite.
  6. Hardly surprising if what we have heard is true. We need a cohesive squad, not one that can be fractured by any individual(s). If that is what was happening with Byrne at the club, he has to go, no question. Exceptional talent, but just one rotten egg will damage the togetherness that FB and AR are striving for.
  7. Did you see the bright electric blue number he was wearing at Oxford last season? It made my glasses go dark.
  8. Another tall blond keeper for @underdog to oggle at.
  9. Didn't Shez say that the transfer to Carlisle was just paper talk? In which case, he's on his way.
  10. If there's internationals at the same time for the likes of Nepomuceno and Dummigan, we could be facing postponements.
  11. From the FGR website, which makes you wonder why we're only getting 700. I make that 1076: Away fan seating Away fans are housed in the West Stand, which can be accessed by turning right when you come in the main gate, and entering through gates 9 and 10. The West Stand has capacity for 100 covered seats, 177 covered standing, and 799 uncovered standing.
  12. Because he didn't want to play for us any more and spat his dummy out? I'm only guessing, but that could be it. Why keep a player who doesn't pull his tripe out for you?
  13. From the fishul: Club News Latics To Face La Liga Outfit In Behind Closed Doors Friendly 2 Hours ago Kick off is at 5pm, Citeh's training complex.
  14. I'm buggered if I'm going to trawl through every post on the fishul or on here, but I seem to recall that his further injuries were made generally known.
  15. It's his fibula that is broken and his ankle is dislocated. I give you Roy Keane and Alf Inge Haaland. The Irish twat admitted he deliberately went into the "tackle" to cause injury. I'm not saying that Byrne (if it was him) intentionally injured Fane, but it is odd that there has been no mention of why he hasn't featured in the last two games. It could, of course, been reckless rather than intentional. We will know eventually so, until then, it's all speculation.
  16. So how did you get in? Is it anything to do with your (ahem) relationship with a certain Norn Iron footballer, now at Forest Green?
  17. Sod all. I'm trusting the same squad as last season to dig in go straight back up. Heads will roll if it doesn't happen.
  18. A tenner has just been PayPalled. I'm in, so watch out Championship!
  19. Some bloke called Amadi-Holloway scored for Shrewsbury in a friendly today. Can't be right, can it?
  20. Only using on laptop and it's been fine; no interruptions.
  21. Encouraging to hear that. Let's hope he does well for us. If we don't sign a striker or two soon, we may just be stuck with those two, but could they do a job in League 2?
